I think Leopard 2 must have been the callsign. Also, unless I'm mistaken we didnt send any heavy armour to Afghanistan?

The US had tanks in Afghanistan, I'm not sure about the Brits. They weren't used nearly as extensively as MATVs/MRAPs but they were there.

I've just checked, we (the uk) didn't deploy heavy armour to Afghanistan. So as funny as the Op is, I feel like it might not be true....

At least Denmark and Canada had Leopard 2s in Afghanistan that were involved in combat. So maybe the "Brits" were just fancy Canadians.
