That's why I've said Maduro is stupid too. He only needed to praise Trump and Trump would be giving Venezuelan fishing boats protective military escorts.
He's not selling out and bending over to the FOTUS, i wouldn't say he's stupid.

You can have pride and ethics and still be stupid.
If someone said, "Here's a million dollars to publicly praise Trump and after he's dead you can say whatever you want.", you wouldn't take the money? Especially if your family could use the money (Venezuela)?
Yes they aren't mutually exclusive, but to say he is stupid because he isn't praising Trump is a bit of a stretch.
For the second part, I get what you're saying, but since im not a world leader it's different. I'm just some schmuck, if a government goes on to praise Trump there are far reaching consequences
