We warned them, over and over and over. After a while of being distressed, its hard not to laugh at the hypocrisy/irony. I feel bad for them, and us. But I know if the tables turned they would not feel bad if it happened to me. Which as a health care provider during covid, it did. And they didn't care or even try to help the situation. We are all going down on the ship they blew a hole in.

While I agree with your point about productive messaging, maybe accusing people who have had fascism shoved down their throats of being "okay with fascism" isn't the most productive approach either. There's a bit of pot and kettle going on here.

It would be nice if everyone was always level-headed and emotionally mature enough to maximize every opportunity for positive change.

But over here in reality, the exact people that created this mess, with the explicit and overt intention of hurting others, are now reaping what they've sown. It's inevitable that's some people are going to experience some schadenfreude.

If you'd like others to be all sunshine and rainbows perhaps pump the brakes on the judgment and lead by example.

We certainly can laugh. These idiots voted this on themselves despite us screaming at the top of our lungs in warning. They specifically voted to hurt other people. It is funny that they got hurt. No - we aren't courting anyone, people should just not be idiots and vote intelligently. But these idiots keep listening to right wing media and it makes no difference what we say - they will fall for whatever the right wing narrative is now. And we probably won't get fair elections anymore so it's too late and we might as well just laugh.
