It's a good thing that people who are both evil and capable are so rare. The situation in the US would be so much worse if those fascist fundamentalists were more capable.

The evil and capable ones tend to be the wealthy behind the scenes guys who know better than to have their name and image associated publicly with the kind of heinous policies they want to implement. They pay for the evil incompetent guys to be the face and take the heat.
But not the intelligence to make it work.
I think it's because evil is stupid. Like, it's a net negative policy. And often predicated on falsehoods (eg: belief that race works like old DND)
Race works closer to Warhammer fantasy IMO.
I don't know what this means.
It'd be hilarious if some teachers had done some malicious compliance, like using the Babble as a centerpiece for poor thinking and logical fallacies. Also: teaching its inconsistencies, teaching how it was voted on as to what was "canon", how it was used as justification for slavery, etc...I'm sure the prospect of some real education in relation to "the" Bible would have scared the fundies silly.

If the people trying to impose Bible or placing ten commandments in institutions would at least follow the teachings, we would be in a much better place.

I think you're confused. You can have him as your king. I just don't want his laws to apply to the real world.

I read the whole thing around age 10 as an attempt to try to bring myself to believe it. Because I was questioning it around 6. Honestly, I believed in Santa longer than I believed in God. I read the whole bible front to back and was like... Yeah this is unrealistic. Spiderman was also unrealistic but it didn't try to act like reality.

I thought the porn thing was a nothing burger of a streaming service displaying questionable content on a TV in one of the offices. Or am I confusing my porn scandals?
I mean - that may have been a spin they used but. The TV just happened to be naked hoochies boinking seems unlikely.
I looked up the story. Obviously, we can cast doubt on an Oklahoma prosecutor's objectivity and the possibility that office is in on a cover-up, but lacking other evidence I would say this is really nothing.
The most you can really make of it is that the old superintendent didn't handle it well and apologize to the board for what they witnessed. That seems in line with him being a total asshole. But was he watching Jackie Chan porn in his office while on a video conference? Very unlikely.

But this story about being a Jackie Chan movie was fabricated by like-minded cops who were ordered to investigate. Which took weeks. And two months later he’s gone. Absorbed into a right-wing boondoggle to harass teachers nationally.
As if we needed another reason to be concerned about this board of education, it can't be a good sign that she finds it so shameful to say the word "nipple".
This is going to sound stupid, but i believe that many/some women (this one anyway) see porn slower than men. My husband will catch a nipple shot on tv that I never see until i make him rewind.
