A worker does all the work to generate profit
The company takes all the profit and nobody bats an eye
The worker asks for some of the profit and everyone loses their minds
Flippant Anarchism. A lighter take on social criticism with the aim of agitation.
Post humorous takes on capitalism and the states which prop it up. Memes, shitposting, screenshots of humorous good takes, discussions making fun of some reactionary online, it all works.
This community is anarchist-flavored. Reactionary takes won't be tolerated.

Absolutely no right-wing jokes. This includes "Anarcho"-Capitalist concepts.
Absolutely no redfash jokes. This includes anything that props up the capitalist ruling classes pretending to be communists.
No bigotry whatsoever. See instance rules.
This is an anarchist comm. You don't have to be an anarchist to post, but you should at least understand what anarchism actually is. We're not here to educate you.
No shaming people for being anti-electoralism. This should be obvious from the above point but apparently we need to make it obvious to the turbolibs who can't control themselves. You have the rest of lemmy to moralize.

what do you mean? I think it’s pretty normal and expected to push for a higher salary, ask for bonuses, get PTO concessions based on lost seniority, etc.
at my last employer, I got a $50,000 starting bonus just by asking. nobody lost their mind; the recruiters take it in stride, go find out if they can do it, and tell you yes or no.
"My experience is everyone's experience!"
have you ever seen someone lose their mind because another person said they were going to negotiate a higher salary?
I have a feeling that my experience is a little more common than crazy comic book villain hyperbolic anarchy poster’s scenario
Where do you work?
Small streaming media company (NOT any big tech firm)
I assume you're paid pretty well then? Most people aren't salaried and the few that are salaried but still living closer to poverty than you may have a different experience. Jeopardizing your job by asking for more is a real fear people have.
definitely above median, but not any kind of fuck you money
The original image explicitly says salary, but you can negotiate for an hourly wage increase as well. People shouldn’t be scared of it, the worst that can happen is they say no.
“Memes” like OP’s create that fear, rather than empowering workers.
to repeat the question, have you ever seen anyone lose their mind because another person said they would negotiate their pay?
Not in the context of the meme, no. In the context of fear then yes.
Anytime employees ask for wage increases, all of these economist complain how it will rAiSe PrIcEs!
And I'm glad you got yours. Now help others get theirs.
There's probably a simple explanation for it, but it's weird to me that the bottom text has a fixed height* but the top has oversized Cs, Gs, Os, and Ss.

*or whatever the proper font terminology equivalent might be
I'm choosing to believe it's another element of the meme displaying the Joker's disregard for order or something.
We live in a society, where the bottom is kept in line, but the top is allowed to disregard the rules. Typographers rise up.
Huh never noticed. I used imgflip to make the meme.
bottom text looks a size smaller too. that shift in font size could level out those differences
Capitalists don't "create" employment - they gatekeep it.
