The test site should be Mar-A-Lago.

[–] RaoulDuke@leminal.space 18 points 1 month ago

Just nuke Florida.

[–] InternetCitizen2@lemmy.world 16 points 1 month ago (1 children)

You know what... I don't see why not. Can we get the God Emperor a front row seat too?

[–] Jerkface@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago

Don't forget to remind him not to look directly into the blast just to make sure he looks directly into the blast.

[–] BigMacHole@sopuli.xyz 105 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I voted for Trump because I wanted Peace!

-Joe Rogan!

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 31 points 1 month ago (2 children)

He's such a fucking idiot. But he's only half a dumb as the people who listen to him.

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 28 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

I'm sorry, in case people who listen to him are reading this, I'm calling you dumber than him.

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 22 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

I'm so sorry, this is not helpful. I'm saying Joe is extremely stupid, and you are even more stupid. You're a fucking idiot if you listen to him.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago

"Don't blame the voters! boohoohooo!" - The Tone Police, the "centrists", the corporate media, and not a few liberal scolds...

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 6 points 1 month ago

Maybe half as dumb, but worse: a grifter, a mongerer, a liar.

[–] PunnyName@lemmy.world 23 points 1 month ago

Yeah, the guy who claimed he ends wars wants to start another cold war, while also indiscriminately bombing ships off the coast of South America.

Fuck this timeline.

[–] Australis13@fedia.io 70 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Fantastic. Let's add radioactive fallout to the list of things Trump and co are trying to kill everyone with.

[–] Sludgehammer@lemmy.world 12 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Fallout is what's truly needed to Make America Healthy Again!

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 17 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

RFK might like to note that nukes can very quickly stop measles, COVID, flu, autism, brain worms, and also everything else.

Trump earlier this year called denuclearization “a big aim,” telling reporters over the summer that "Russia’s willing to do it, and I think China is going to be willing to do it, too.”

“We can’t let nuclear weapons proliferate. We have to stop nuclear weapons,” he added.

Then fucking do it jfc

[–] Barbarian@sh.itjust.works 11 points 1 month ago

You know what would have helped denuclearization? Giving the Budapest Memorandum teeth. Obama and every subsequent president made some mealy-mouthed "We'll send a few old guns" to Ukraine, despite the deal being Ukraine gives up their nukes and Russia (lol), the US and UK defend them.

Every other country's leadership looking at that has reached the obvious conclusion: nothing but nukes that you yourself control will save you against a nuclear power.

[–] Duke_Nukem_1990@feddit.org 6 points 1 month ago

Denuclearization by firing the whole arsenal. The fuhrer keeps his promises! <3

[–] GuyFawkes@midwest.social 35 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Jesus Christ what’s next week, “build a space ‘LAZER’”???

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world 13 points 1 month ago (2 children)

The hugest space LAZOR even bigger than the Jews!

[–] RaoulDuke@leminal.space 20 points 1 month ago

I see your swartz is as big as mine.

[–] krooklochurm@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

I guess it makes strategic sense to lessen dependence on the Jewish peoples' well known expertise in the creation and operation of space lasers.

The Jewish people have had a near monopoly on the construction of space lasers for thousands of years, and while this wouldn't be the first attempt to unlock the secrets of the space lasers for non Jews, I'd be shocked if this effort didn't fail as has historically been the case.

Ah yes, I was wondering if the end was going to be a long, painful, drawn-out one or if we'd go with a satisfying bang.

[–] And009@lemmynsfw.com 4 points 1 month ago (3 children)

Satisfaction depends how far out ground zero actually is.

I’m sure the down wind states will be super happy about that!!

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

They're all blue states so who cares, amirite?

Except Utah, but it's too red to change now, so it also doesn't matter.

[–] Monument@lemmy.sdf.org 13 points 1 month ago

This is so pathetic and stupid.

This isn’t aimed at Russia or China, whom the article calls out by name.
This is a dick measuring contest with Iran and North Korea.

I mean - he made the announcement in South Korea.

Diplomatically, Trump (well, his administration) has stated to learn that befriending and allowing tinpot dictators to humiliate the U.S. is non-viable. So they’ve moved to cold-war era tactics of arms races and implied threats of nuclear holocaust.
They, of course, are focusing on smaller nations that while powerful in their own right, aren’t actual threats to the U.S. global hegemony. Not that I support continued U.S. dominance on the world stage, but it’s a weird priority.
Maybe by the end of the admin, they’ll be caught up to Clinton, who realized the best way to apply pressure was economically and via international partnerships — assuming the U.S. has an economy and international partnerships to leverage by then.

[–] Broadfern@lemmy.world 13 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Nothing marks the distinction of a Trump term quite like the ever present fear of a nuclear holocaust. (Amongst many others)

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago

Nobel prize, please!

[–] mkwt@lemmy.world 12 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It is likely that any tests will be conducted in enclosed underground silos in Nevada. The site to do that has been maintained at some amount of readiness since the last test in 1992.

[–] paperazzi@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago

He won't want it underground. He wants an audience at all times to show how manly and powerful he is.

[–] paperazzi@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago

Any wagers on which blue city it is that he'll test it on? Or maybe it will be Venezula since they've suddenly become a mortal enemy.

[–] HazardousBanjo@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago

Yet another sitraction from the Epstein Files and economic collapse

[–] BlameThePeacock@lemmy.ca 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

He's going to mess up and try to nuke bikiki bottom isn't he?

Poor patrick.

[–] YoiksAndAway@piefed.zip 6 points 1 month ago (3 children)

Why do we need to "test" 80-year old technology? Am I missing something here?

[–] peoplebeproblems@midwest.social 4 points 1 month ago

Desperate attempts to sound like a strongman?

The Cold War did more brain damage than the lead imo

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

My god have the last 10 years showed us all how weak this nation actually is.

Our ancestors would be ashamed. The future will condemn us.
