Not that I support this, but hasn't Google Assistant been able to do that for years? Sending texts via the voice assistant has been, like, one of the main selling points.
Yeah, developers can't access those folders without some super specific permissions, so most just use the dedicated app folder.
I mean, what else do you want them to write? At least the comments aren't boring
