Just switch to Linux. You don't have to hope that you don't get left behind, and you actually control your system. If you're willing to deal with LTSC then you're more than capable of installing Linux and running a VM if you really need Windows.

It was someone speaking on behalf of MS and MS didn't really work to change the perception. They can hide behind the "not an official statement" argument, but you shouldn't spread their message. They did it on purpose, and used it for false advertising. It only isn't illegal because they sent the message through unofficial channels, but then purposefully let it spread.
I would say the most important skill is listening to experts, and knowing when you aren't one. Jon has this down.
You don't want a president who thinks they're an expert in everything. You want one who knows that aren't and is willing to bring experts in to guide them.
One thing I know about Trump is he's weirdly obsessed with handshakes as symbols of power. Having your hand on top means you're the dominant person, supposedly. Trump is very aggressive at making sure that's him, because the belief is so strong for him. In this picture, Putin is absolutely the dominant person in Trump's handshake belief.
This doesn't really matter, but I do think it's interesting to notice.
