This era of American politics will be studied for centuries. Like the fall of Rome. I’m sure that after he’s gone the truth will come out about who was really driving. His coddling of Russia in the context of Republican history is the biggest red flag. Especially when you take into account his penchant for money (bitcoin rug pull, Qatari Force One etc etc)

What is it the kids say? ‘Cope.’ Just like us in the UK after Brexit, you need to just face up to who you really are as a country. You re-elected Trump in free and fair elections after Jan 6th and Georgia. We voted to leave the strongest most influential trading block in the world because we’re idiots. Face it, accept it, start to fight it.

‘Why don’t you stop us?’ After decades of the US using its financial might to tip the economic and political scales in its favour on basically every front. You’ve relentlessly stripped power from even your closest allies and now you’re whining about the results when they don’t work in your favour. Happy to pursue war and regime change in foreign countries or prop up genocidal lunatics, at the expense of civilian casualties. Just too cowardly to do it in your own country when the risk is yours. ‘Why don’t you stop us?’ You couldn’t write it. Unless you’re American.

I mean if you’re a pro-gun, pro-life, capitalist evangelical who wants less immigration - not voting is the best we can hope for.

‘Oh it’s ok, they’ll still do it for the of it despite being poor, I’ll still get my music.’

This sums up modern society so well. I don’t even think it’s ill intentioned, just that the Epstein class has convinced us that individualism is ok. Conveniently.

I was watching the new David Attenborough show here in the UK Kingdom and I realised that all the orchestral work that is done to align with moments on screen will probably be AI soon. The tech is defo there already and it’s an easy way to cut budget. A shame.

Thanks for the chuckle this morning internet stranger.

We are territorial animals. Creating a shared enemy for your tribe/pack/herd etc to fear/hate works better than anything, even to the extent you will turn a blind eye to your sides leaders blatant incompetence and corruption. He might be shit, but he’s our shit. We did the same thing when Biden was a gibbering doddery oap, and Labour are doing it now in the UK despite Starmer and Co governing from the sodding right.

I think she’s cleverer than most people give her credit for because she’s also batshit. The MAGA movement is going to eat itself as the reality of Trumps policies ramp up and polling tanks. She is distancing herself early so she looks like she was right all along when the bullshit excuses run out. She’s being cordial and making sure not to look opportunist but I guarantee you in 2027 she will start saying the ideas aren’t wrong, just the implementation. She will run on cutting aid to Israel, pulling out of Venezuela and retaining ICE but with some optics only ‘humanitarian’ guidelines.

She might be bonkers but she’s shrewd and seen the way the winds blowing. She’s going to do a Liz Truss and position herself as the ‘sensible’ option for change in the MAGA movement, when Trump either pops his clogs or the Epstein Files drop.

I would have thought cunning is a form of intelligence? Using strategy and planning to apply knowledge? I’m intrigued, will have a look. Cheers. I just think people are desperate to pretend Musk is stupid because he’s turned out to be a nasty piece of work. They want to strip him of his intelligence as a way of getting back at him. I can’t take people seriously who think he’s stupid. Tesla and Space X. Come on.

Garland’s understandable desire to appear a-political in the Jan 6th and Trump cases will be a stick the left use to beat the moderates in the Democrat party for decades, and rightly so.

If Garland hadn’t wasted 15 months working from the bottom (rioters) up Trump would probably be in prison now. I think he was well intentioned but didn’t have the bottle to be the guy who put the wheels in motion for banging up a President.
