Asset manager says what everyone with a brain can see

No way, company created in 2015 burns through $57.9b (chatgpt told me this) without making a single dollar worth of profit in ten year and now the analysts are supposing it might collapse.

Lol

When I was growing up in Sydney, heavily involved in drugs, anarchy and living on the streets in squats it was common knowledge there were protected paedophile groups that operated out kids homes.

Worse when those kids ran away and ended up on the street they'd end up street walking, being preyed upon by predators of all sorts.

Most were using because of the horrific trauma they had been subjected to.

I remember being warned about avoiding certain places if a particular predator was our a about cruising. They loved to target young men.

In 2013 we had a royal commission into institutional response to child abuse and it became very clear that children had been raped on an industrial scale.

People like Pell and Clancy (who I was peripherally related to) were not just actively involved but also running protection for dozens and dozens of serial rapists.

With politicians and law enforcement also working to protect these people.

Pell denied numerous victims, even after the priests were found to be rapists and sentenced, compensation and forced countless people to kill themselves.

There is no fate worse then I can imagine for Pell and his ilk. They are a stain on this earth and as bad as the fascists and nazis.

For mine workers this is sooooo fucking true

Even 200k is in the corporate space fairly beign.

One company I worked was paying out that sort of money for basic worker bees who had hit the 80 week max redundancy pay out point (20 years tenure).

Every restructure meeting was the strangest thing I've ever been to where people were just so depressed and upset at not being made redundant.

So yeah $200k wasn't unusual (when all your other benefits were paid out, including sick leave that fricken accrued in perpetuity)

I imagine these health care workers and managers had a good union.

I mean film is a family hobby. My dad spent forever building his dream sound system,

Sounds like my mother. She was a film maker, worked on a lot of big films.

So upset she decided to get rid of 60 years of speakers and gear to the local hifi shop instead of her son (and we were by no means estranged or with some weird broken relationship ie I'm leaching off of her).

Just discovered it was all gone when I spent 3 months watching her die (too late for recriminations when the cancer has adled their brain).

and I built my "fuck yeah it works" system out of his discards (I have to recognize hardly anyone falls into great sound systems the way I did but by crab god, I'm a musician if I'm going to treat anything it's my ears). I got a decent working 5.1 system of 25 years old cones and tweeters,

Yup. Took her speaker shopping and had to watch her grimace cause all I could afford was some shitty Yamaha kit. Thanks Ma. You could have given your son something out of your vast dragons hoard. Maybe the Tanoy studio monitors that you had sitting in the spare room???

just spent some money a few years back to buy a severely outdated receiver because the one I had (have technically. still gotta clean it up and take down to the relic shoppe) was made before hdmi and was having difficulty communicating with modern devices over optical audio.

Got her outdated circa 2000, albeit, $3k Yamaha receiver because she had it as her editing den system (and she passed before she could break the room down).

We had goddam electrostatic speakers, 1 metre wide for godsake. I thought I'd be passing them down to my son and so on. But noooo she had to sell them along with the valve amps and solid state amps she built.

Sigh.

Goddam parents.

My PC is an electro mechanical pinball table from 1971 (Williams Klondike, btw) running Puppy Linux.

You guys are snobs. No, seriously, youre totally elitist. You feel like the unappreciated scholars, so you shit on the people who know less than you.

And that only matters if it is enforced.

So my understanding of the creation of the US constitution was most of the framers were the oligarchs of their day. Rich, businessmen, landowners, brewers and so on.

They, their money and power, was directly affected by the British attempts to tax them. So they came up with a social contract (albeit a broken one, riddled with contradictions and errors (all men, ahem, not black, are, apparently, created equal)) in order to convince a whole lotta people to put their lives on the line to fight for their ~~money~~ freedom.

The people who should be leading the US into grinding general strikes, the democrat party, and its money men (entertainers, Hollywood and a host of corporations) have yet to have their money affected by Trump and his oligarchs/fascists.

Until they are you are on your own

Which is why a grass root movement needs to start pushing for a general strike, a national, union for the people, not based on employment that supports and funds front line protesters and people in critical jobs, to strike without losing their homes and families.

There is a wealth of funds, hell a single multi millioniare could be setting up food and support for large scale protests. A dozen multi millioniares in the 100m range could be funding a huge social moment. Yet their fucking cowards.

Until their doors are kicked in they won't give a shit. Which is why I've stopped watching US anti Trump shows like Colbert, Seth and Stewart.

They made millions and millions of dollars warning us about trump, speaking truth to what mainstream politicians refused to say let alone do something about. Yet they won't speak truth that justice, freedom and equality are no longer universal anymore. The social contract is being ripped up.

Which is why you can't leave it up to anyone who claimed to be a leader.

Start organising. Start meeting with your neighbours, community and start finding like minded people
