The issue is that, UBI is a contested subject. It is the answer to what's happening with automation.

And nobody is touching it but lets continue giving these few people all the money in the world and little leftover for everyone to fight over.

That is so right up there with some of the scummiest things CEOs have ever said.

The Heinz CEO tells us to "get used to it" about inflation.

And then Nestle over there, saying about how water is not a human right.

These rich fuckheads totally operate on a different world than our own.

America is really bizarro world compared to other countries and how they handle things like this.

It just seems like in America, you can fail upwards, con people and still get out filthy rich.

And in order to be forgiven within our online frathouse, we demand that you post several unfunny and recycled memes. We also require it that you join in comment chains to continue a series of unfunny, repetitive jokes that stopped being funny a decade ago. And lastly, we would appreciate it if you never uttered a single word that would displease our hivemind should we report you to our lord and savior, u/Spez.

"And because that my karma points are incredibly higher than yours will ever be, my words are like gold and yours is like dirt. I know exactly what I speak of and know everything of Linux on the back of my hand and in my sleep. Moderator, please displace the trash that has decided to speaketh within our vicinity as I make a fabricated report that you are just a filthy little ban-evader despite having only encountered you for the first time ever"

Hell, Lemmy can be this way too or some other instance somewhere else in the fediverse. It is almost inescapable.

Yeah whatever. You're still full of it.

That wasn't the problem.

The problem was, when 9/11 happened, the USA's clear-cut goal was to find Osama Bin Laden, who was the perpetrator of the 9/11 attack. 2 years later, didn't find Osama, but we wound up in Iraq suddenly because President Bush and his administration had a discourse based on lies that excused them to go to war in Iraq. During that entire administration's time, Osama was never found or caught until 2011 by Obama's administration.

The death toll was 151,000 ~ 654,965 and the numbers varied wildly so much that the wiki regarding the death toll can't narrow them down. What do you honestly consider 'genocidal'? Because, the USA went into Iraq for no purpose other than to revive the Gulf War and oil under the guise of "We know that you are making Weapons of Mass Destruction somewhere!" that accounted for those deaths, largely of them are civilians mind you that had no business in this.

And yet you think that's not genocide. Well, what's the magical number to you then? Since it is obvious you didn't get it.

But that doesn't mean he's not going to shoot this down himself should it go on his desk.
