I've said 100 times, once you realize these people view LGBT as a choice, everything they say makes internal sense.
Now you see why they want to silence LGBT voices and keep their kids deaf? They think their kids, who like all kids are easily influenced, can be "turned". All to easy to argue against that, but I can see why people get alarmed. Get ready, because this is dumb, just showing their POV.
My daughter told me she was bi last summer. Y'all, she's 12, never kissed a boy or a girl. I think she's a typical kid entering puberty, trying to figure out who she is, like trying on different clothing styles. Unless she turns out to be a lipstick lesbian, she's hilariously feminine. :) IDGAF either way, but I seriously doubt she's bi. Can you see how a bigot would react?
"You turned my daughter gay by exposing her to the gay agenda!"
Again, if it's a choice, their internal logic is consistent. And it's stupid easy to unravel them.
My best counter? And this worked on my best friend many years ago; ask them to describe their experiences during puberty. "How did you choose which team to bat for? I mean, you coulda gone either way, right?" Ask them what sexual characteristics they like in a partner and ask why they choose those things. Make them explain. This hammers home the fact that attraction is not a choice.
