You might think that but you have to remember the New republic was formed after the emperor died, and that it failed for much of the same reasons the old one did.
Well yeah like i said she isnt like ideologically a leftist or anything. It's media made by Americans so she's gonna be bad when it comes to governance. But in regards to like how she views revolution she isn't a liberal. A liberal is more like that one dude who works for the empire, and is a stickler for the rules. But then gets all upset when he has a personal attachment to the people being slaughtered. But then he still attacks Andor for no good reason.
