Terribly curious to hear the details. "Some hackers did something with some data and crippled a large car company" is about all I got out of that article.

I got $1 says they gained access by whaling one of the execs.

Given the duration of the outage, I guess the company has both a complex computer system that's all networked, and doesn't have a solid disaster recovery plan.
