Something frustrating about canadian rail (and im guessing us is similar) is that they keep trying to make the experience more and more like flying. They require you to weigh your bag, they are trying to make security checkpoints a thing. It's really dumb.
luckily that's just Canada for now, but I'm worried it'll come to the states too. They're so focused on what travel is currently like that they don't see what travel could be like. Totally get there's only so much carry-on space, but like, who cares about checked bags? Or security. Just get on and start moving.
