Super busy with job and family. Only get 20 min to play at the end of the day. Start first game and.....
"Oi cunt. I'm gonna rip your bollocks off if ya try to steal the next kill. Awright?"
Me : "Oh alright! I finally got a chance to play a real online competitive game! This is gonna be so fun!"
My team mate, 5 minutes later : "Uninstall the game before killing yourself because I just sent a swat team to [my actual address]"
Wait, do they really dox people like that? How??
Sadly, yes. Quite often, in fact.
Some people even make sort of a career out of it.
That's a little different. But how do they get ahold of people's addresses?
These days people put out a lot of their personal information online. Often people blast their name and location without a care.
Even if you are more careful than that, you probably give away more than you think. And it is still possible to look up addresses once you get someone’s real name and general location. Someone with a grudge can spend a frightening amount of time looking though past posts and such to piece together where you are.
Oh nice. I also play with russians. They are lovely
