This is the exact same Poillievre and the same party you voted for. They didn’t suddenly change in the last couple months, this is just what Conservatives do. If you want conservatism without the rampant homophobia and christian nationalism just vote Liberal. This isn’t Star Wars, you don’t need some weird light balancing dark nonsense, you just need good ideas and the Conservatives don’t have any of those and that’s why they run on culture war politics instead of doing things for their constituents.
Remember, even back twenty years ago Poillievre looked his own gay father in the eye while he tried to vote away his rights and the party made that guy their leader. Unsurprising after Harper fucked the finances up so bad without anything to even show for it(at least get us something cool if you’re gunna overspend!) and they didn’t have a problem with it.
The community that I moderate is a key reason I didn't vote liberal this election. both sides have their faults and while I support government funded healthcare an dental an such I also strongly support the choice to live freely without the government having to stick their nose in every little thing you do.
I’m no Christian and certainly don’t believe they’re being targeted to the extent Pierre is making people believe, I stand by what I said originally. Yes I think Pierre is a tool, but I see him as a better tool than Carney.
Don't be a single issue voter.
The best thing you can do is to campaign for election reform among your peers.
