Can we please have yet another discussion on whether or not it is ethical to use AI for generating memes?
Totally ethical. It's the best.
In a time when content is king. It makes me so angry that the left was manipulated and played into hating AI. Look at you all. You can't even see it. Lemmy is so oblivious to it.
My fucking 68 year old trump supporting dad is using it daily to get numbers and sources and generate memes he finds funny to share.
You people are clutching your pearls because Lemmy had like 6 accounts that shared every single doom and gloom article they could all day every day for the past year.

Everything is political but you've been brainwashed into thinking only national government is political.
Yes, a lot of stuff is political but their AI loving dad being a fascist, or at least a supporter of fascists, is completely irrelevant regarding discussion about the ethical use of image generation. Same goes for the claim the left is done. It's only and attempted ragebait and adds nothing. You can see it in so many places in the comments under various posts, which is annoying at times.
If you want to complain about irrelevance I'm fine with that. I was only arguing with you because you complained about politics. If that's not your complaint anymore then I have no beef with you and wish you a pleasant week
