Welcome to the botnet
They've nerfed task manager. I've seen it open and then freeze. The mighty have fallen
Yep, on NT4 the instant the last key in CTRL-ALT-DEL went down the task manager came up.
XP and Win7 were still very good with it.
I think it went south when they removed the requirement for CTRL-ALT-DEL to login.
Also the task manager currently has a bug where it's process keeps running when you close the window. So, to get rid of it, you now either need to open another task manager and kill that process (and the one you have currently open) or do a reboot...
Not that anyone should have to, but if that happens,
- Open cmd as administrator
- taskkill /pid taskmgr.exe
I know, but still it's clearly a "you had one job to do, taskmanager".
Windows privileges are fucking insane
Windows 11 added a button to kill the process easly by right-clicking the icon

I think you need to activate it though, it should be under something called "developer - something"
Except that it doesn't kill it, it just asks it to die by itself. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Jesus chirst...why i continue to think windows is as good as a normal OS? Lmao
