Welcome to the fascist dystopia many of us could see coming decades ago. If you think this is bad, you ain't seen nothing yet. The Gestapo, KGB — big brother — never had any concept of anything close to 1 millionth as powerful as 2025 surveillance capitalism.

Remember, there is no bottom. No matter how bad things get, they will always surprise you with how much more sadistic and psychopathic they can go.

Fuck the police. Fuck AI. Fuck any combo of them

does this mean robocop was doubly evil?

edit: it occurs to me that the original comment may have walked up to the line for inciting violence and as such I have changed it because I don't want to make the mods lives more difficult

It makes what they did to Murphy to create RoboCop doubly evil, but I've been led to believe that that's one of the big messages of the movie.

Robocop's intelligence is natural, it's the rest of him that's artificial.

Robocop is in a Darth Vader situation.

More machine than man? Because I'm pretty sure RoboCop didn't die to an even space wizard frying him with lightning while redeeming himself and saving his son. But I've never watched past RoboCop 2 so IDFK.

Robocop was the American Jesus, iirc.

This makes the Bad Religion song even more awesome.

The headline is a bit misleading. This isn't run of the mill dystopia. Police in Indiana are using AI software to write reports for them based on AI analysis of body cam footage. AI hallucinations are then inserted into police reports. Then the false reports that contain information about events that never happened are being submitted to courts without being verified

Once an AI hallucination is on record as a documented event, it becomes difficult to remove it from the record, and it can ruin people's lives.
