MODERATORS

Just this morning, the president of the United States posted this statement on his social media platform, truth social stating the following above listed in the image… I’m genuinely disturbed by this. A sitting President openly announcing the deployment of “all necessary troops” and authorizing “full force” against protests inside the U.S. feels like a turning point and not in a good way.

The majority of these demonstrations have been largely peaceful. Yes, there are always going to be bad actors, but to escalate to the point of calling in troops, labeling groups as “domestic terrorists,” and framing citizens exercising their First Amendment rights as enemies of the state? That’s an extreme overstep of executive authority.

What worries me most is the language of “full force.” It’s vague enough to sound like a blank check for violent suppression, but broad enough that ordinary citizens peaceful protesters, journalists, even bystanders could easily be swept up in it. This doesn’t de-escalate tensions; it fans the flames.

I can’t think of another time in modern history when a President has spoken so bluntly about turning military and police power on American citizens. It feels less about public safety and more about raw control and that should concern anyone, no matter their political alignment.

Do we really want to normalize a President declaring war on their own people for speaking out?

It means he's scared. And he should be.

It is amazing how your average conservative never goes anywhere or leaves their comfort zone at all and yet they seem to know everything about everywhere. They've never been to Portland, they don't know anything about Portland or anybody from Portland. Yet they know for a fact that Portland is a Mad Max style hell hole. It's just amazing how knowledgeable they are.

How about you just keep your pedo ass out of Oregon and release the Epstein files.

Oregon's response.

What does full force mean? Whatever the fuck the idiot applying it thinks it means. And that is the real problem: it's a stochastic terrorism meant to incite the trumpeters to act viciously that is cloaking itself in a manner of legality under its 'authorization.'

In a functioning country, any law enforcement officer/agent would find themselves quickly stopped and arrested by another officer/agent if they acted with any force that wasn't in line with policies (and those policies would be very tight and acceptable to the community, but that's an entirely alien idea to the american states). That 'threat' and dedication to abiding by the law would mean that the statement of "full force" being authorized is meaningless... it's just too bad that neither of those things exist in america.
