Y'all don't gotta tell me even once. This just adds to the reasons why to avoid it. Comes tied for first place alongside all short form content should absolutely be banned due to how bad it is for the brain.

Highly disappointed knowing full well that my gen will fall for this shit. I never liked musical.ly as a 10 yr old, and I hated Tiktok this entire time too. But my gen was literally raised with this shit, so I know a large portion of us will be like "omg Trump saved Tiktok yessss!", especially after the fucking crash outs people had when it got taken away. Like a middle schooler could've called this from a mile away. There's just a lot of vapid, only-focused-on-the-trends people...

Never mind the fact that both Trump and Biden were trying to ban Tiktok, and that his admin started it...

I've been boycotting TikTok since it was still a pedophilia platform called Musically, I can't boycott TikTok more than I already am, I think ya'll are honestly some of the dumbest mf for ever using a Chinese Military operated App in the first place tbh.

I've been telling people this, and all I get are vapid stares. I wish critical thinking was taught in our schools.

I'm so ashamed to be an American these days.

This is why we need the fediverse and why people should join us.

I mean it's not like TikTok was your friendly neighborhood mom and pop social network before the mouldy orange "saved" it.

How is this different from how they control other forms of media? I'm not saying we shouldn't be upset, but why is this the last straw?

I'm not including the government in this "they." That's definitely different.
