“These are people I’ve gotten to know over the years,” Trump began. “It started around 2015, and then went into 2016 when the presidency began—officially began—but I’ve known him actually, for a long time.”

So we can tell him he already annexed Canada and move on?

[–] Blackfeathr@lemmy.world 76 points 2 days ago (1 children)

"Senior moment?" For FUCKS SAKE I hate this media sane washing BULLSHIT

if Biden did the same thing this would be in the news cycle for weeks, Jake Tapper would be writing a novel series to rival Harry Potter, and every single Republican and most Democrats would be signing impeachment proceedings the very next day. What the FUCK

Hey America, why have you not just killed a man?

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Because Stephen Miller would still be running the country?

[–] chiocciola@lemmy.cafe 1 points 1 day ago

Just keep doin it

[–] TheLowestStone@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Well, there's a few pretty obvious reasons. The main one being the consequences. Additionally, one would require the means and opportunity to do it and the time to plan it. Also consider that America is a huge place and the president doesn't bother to visit every part of it. Someone who was inclined to do that may have to travel hundreds or thousands of miles to try. Lastly, the idea of taking a human life is abhorrent to most people.

Most people would let a million die than kill one. Then they’d criticize the notion they were wrong

I dont think the fact hes a senile delusional loser is a distraction.

[–] ZoopZeZoop@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It is. It's a problem he and his team are less concerned about right now.

[–] primrosepathspeedrun@anarchist.nexus 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Well he's a senile delusional loser pedophile. I think there's room in discourse for that. I think we could also start calling the worst things trump. It worked for santorum.

Don't call them nasty names; call other things almost as nasty as them their names.

Don't go in there; I took a big fat steaming trump. Genuinely make this a part of the language. Make it a curse, a swear, a slightly taboo synonym for 'awful' 'tacky' and 'low class'

[–] ZoopZeZoop@lemmy.world 0 points 2 days ago (1 children)

In general, I agree. However, every mention of him without mentioning the Epstein files is a distraction. So, if you want to say something like this senile, old pedofile needs to release the Epstein files, that would be okay. But the Epstein files needs to be continuously kept in the public stream of consciousness or it will be forgotten.

[–] primrosepathspeedrun@anarchist.nexus 4 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

You're not mentioning him. You're creating associations.

The Catholic church is notorious for trumping little boys. I just took a big steaming trump. I... I think he put something in my drink but I was still kinda conscious–he trumped me. Over and over again. I need a trump kit and an sti test.

[–] ZoopZeZoop@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I think it's fine to brand him the way you're doing. I am simply stating that any time Trump is mentioned, by name or reference, we need to mention the Epstein files needing to be released.

Its not about branding him, its about branding other things as him.

[–] mrdown@lemmy.world -4 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

A whole country but be nuked and you fool would still ask about the Epstein files

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

You make a great point.

Now how about them Epstein files!

[–] mrdown@lemmy.world -5 points 1 day ago

You can go steal them

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

He likely no longer remembers any of his victims...

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Too bad there isn't a statute of memory limitations!

[–] Gerudo@lemmy.zip 13 points 2 days ago

He's surrounded by those dates with all the MAGA merch. That's an insane thing to fuck up.

[–] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 13 points 2 days ago

Well, to be fair... nah, fuck him.
