I hated the phone back then too.
Naw, we just did bong hits.
For me the bong hits were more in the 90s, it was more pipes or joints before that. People talking on the phone all day was more of a '70s and '80s thing. Non-stop busy signal. And then later we added modems to the same line.
No man, we did plenty of bong hits in the 70s and 80s..
