6'2" here, the lack of heel pain is made up for by the fucking kitchen cabinet doors.

And airplane overhead storage, playground equipment, and visiting almost any Asian country.

6'4" here, why is every counter so damn low?

[–] BigBrownBeaver@lemmy.world 14 points 16 hours ago

9'6" here. Let me grab your tiny heads like a strawberry

Bathroom mirrors and showerheads are my bane

[–] zakobjoa@lemmy.world 3 points 16 hours ago

Samesies. Built my own kitchen on stilts. Perfect height for me and a bane to all dwarves.

Also not fitting in cars, and aeroplanes, and rollercoasters

And having to buy shoes and trousers from specialists, and having your feet hang off the end of the bed in hotels, and wandering into spiderwebs that no-one else has disturbed yet, and not being able to adjust the shower high enough away from home. Gift that keeps on giving.

I'm tall and my SO is short, finding an appropriate shower height at home is impossible.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 4 points 11 hours ago

you could get one of those handheld shower nozzles and then put a second mount lower or higher as needed.

Same situation - adding a quality hose showerhead + two different clips on the wall so we can swap it between two heights was an indulgent upgrade when we moved in, and it was worth every cent.

how's your back pain up there?

[–] lessthanluigi@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 14 hours ago

Pretty good. I actually don't have much. Then again, I am in my 20's so...

[–] Someonelol@lemmy.dbzer0.com 15 points 23 hours ago (2 children)

It sucks when stooped over a sink washing dishes for longer than a few minutes but otherwise fine... For now.

[–] Echolynx@lemmy.zip 3 points 6 hours ago

I'm short and this still happens to me...

If you stand with your legs really far apart it can help a little bit, downside is you look stupid and your legs start to hurt

I just finished up w/ the physical therapist because my back decided it hated me.

god it's so bad. Had to spend so much money on a proper office chair for my desk. it's like the one place I don't have to hunch over a lil though, so it's worth it.
