Someone really needs to explain to religious extremists that Islam, Christianity, and Judaism all worship the exact same god by all of their religious texts agreements...
"Abdulrahman" just translates to "servant of God", which again, is the same God trump lies about worshipping.
Like, the end game of Islam is literally "Jesus comes back and kills the antichrist, leading to peace on Earth".
Not "a Jesus figure", but legit died on a cross Jesus, back from the dead and sent back from heaven to save us.
It's just in a different language so they spell Jesus as "Isa", and if Republicans ever actually read the Quran, they'd see it talks about Jesus more than literally anyone else
It's just racism. They're equally scared of common refrains they themselves use like, "Inshallah" "God willing" I'd argue it should be parsed that way from the jump.
Ironically they often use worse statements all the time, "God dammit" "Jesus fucking christ" "Holy shit" or at least wouldn't claim to base their vote on something repeating them.
Meeting them at their level is to be gaslit into believing they have principles they're willing to repeat. Navigating their thoughts is only confusing because it's all motivated by what they're not going to tell you. Even complete stupidity doesn't produce such incoherent bullshit.
There's no such thing as a good-faith argument with these people. They're proud hypocrites.
I knew they worshipped the same God, but finding out that Islam also affirms the vast majority of the life of Jesus and his place with-in the larger theological framework just makes me infinitely more upset there is nothing small enough humans won't literally kill each other over it.
Christians went thru the same moderation period we're seeing with Mormons....
Back in the day when Islam started, they were straight up worshipping Jesus as a God.
Early Islam's problem was that "no one is above God" and they regarded Jesus as a (very important) prophet, but that he wouldn't be a full on messiah till he came back from the dead. They also don't buy into Easter and that he came back from the dead for like, two days, before going to heaven anyways.
Like, Islam is basically "diet Christian" where there was still some supernatural shit, but that mostly comes later and everything that has happened so far is more realistic.
But since over the last 500-1000 years, Christianity (except Catholics) have drastically calmed down. Obviously there's some wild ones out there today, but it's nothing like the fervor from the middle ages up to 1700s.
Now, to be fair, there's like 2.1 billion Muslims, the vast majority are also very moderate compared to the religious extremists the West handed a bunch of oil rich countries too.

Muhammad flying from Jerusalem to heaven on a magical winged horse named Buraq, and hanging out with prophets such as Moses, is certainly at least slightly supernatural. The part where he's reciting part of the Qur'an to some people at an oasis, is overheard by djinn, and some of the djinn convert to Islam is another good one. Apparently Mo got teased about that, some verses in the Qur'an have harsh words about those who doubted and mocked him.

The racist fundamentalists in the US who support Trump are, if not wild, at least insane. Half their beliefs are fanfic, the rest are cherrypicked or just fabricated with no reference to the Bible or Christian tradition.

Aware of the early days of the religion trying to basically declare their sovereignty as a nation but not sure that's what you're talking about in context.

So when I say "recent" I'm talking about like 1960s to now on that list. That's short enough that living members were indoctrinated before the changes, after that's no longer true, they really solidfy.
But that goes all the way back to the 1830s and their leader being able to imbue his followers with magic powers. The ~200 years Mormanism has been around is basically nothing, and all new religions go thru a similar moderation period.
The point were practioners stop believing in outright magic, and start talking about how their figurative stories and obviously not to be taken literally.
It's the normal evolution of religion and has been happening for all of human history.
The times were religious fevor increases, is almost always as a distraction to what the wealthy and powerful don't want us to notice.
But how are they supposed to fit racism into that?

Well, only indirectly. It means "servant of the Compassionate," where "the Compassionate" is one of the 99 names of God. All of the hyphenated Abdul- names are followed by one of the 99 names.

Second-most mentions are of Maryam, better known in the west as the Blessed Virgin Mary. There's much more about the BVM in the Qur'an than in the New Testament.
Same reason why so many refuse to say "Obama", or "Barack Obama", and definitely not "President Obama". It's always "Barack Hussein Obama".
Why? Because it's a racist dogwhistle to these conservative fucks. They are counting on the people who live in their little xenophobic bubbles and cry "terrorist!" whenever they hear any of what are some of the most common names on the planet.
That is to say, they're pandering to their base.
The thing is, we now live at a time when a lot of their base is rotting away in retirement homes funneling their passive income to a corporation because their kids won't talk to them.
