There is no too much butter.

[–] Rooty@lemmy.world 7 points 5 hours ago

These all look fine? How is a "perfect" cookie supposed to look like anyway? If they're tasty, they're fine in my book.

Am i the only one that thinks the too much butter one looks great?

[–] python@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

It looks great from the top, but it's super flat and will fall apart in your hand (plus no space for a nice chewy core)

[–] python@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

Although if the first batch of your cookies look like that you can chill your dough for 10mins and get the perfect consistency on the second batch ^^

No such thing as too much butter

My proctologist says the exact same thing

[–] HowAbt2day@futurology.today 2 points 9 hours ago

Those cookies are totally worth a few finger-blasts.

[–] LifeInMultipleChoice@lemmy.world 13 points 11 hours ago

Yeah my first thought was maybe I should add more butter

[–] basiclemmon98@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 11 hours ago

It really does!

[–] Darkmuch@lemmy.world 33 points 13 hours ago (3 children)

I guess all my mom’s best cookies had too much butter

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 3 points 5 hours ago

So like, we had some friends visiting from out of town. And the husband goes to make toast. He finds someone has taken a bite out of the butter in the butter dish. Perfect indentation of their teeth. Who does he accuse first? Not his kids, but his wife. And he was right.

It's not always that there's too much butter. Sometimes it's because the butter had a higher fat content or because the dough wasn't chilled enough before baking.

[–] HowAbt2day@futurology.today 3 points 9 hours ago

Extra awesomeness

Gimme the ground beef cookies. On a bun. With lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mayo, mustard and ketchup.

Oh and a glass of milk to dunk it in.

[–] Darkmuch@lemmy.world 2 points 7 hours ago

We had them in the first half, but we lost it on the second.

This is a food crime.
