it works like a charm with my rtx2060 and the new rtx2080

there's several distros with a focus on gaming like steamos and bazzite. I personally use cachyos as it worked right out of the box without installing any drivers.

the only redeemable quality the mandalorian has is the werner herzog cameo

i wouldn´t state i "like" guns, i certainly know how to use them - just in case, one might say although i HIGHLY doubt i´ll ever need this skill.

also: i can´t recount a socialist revolution that was won without arms.

I wonder when people will realize NK is a relatively "normal" (define normal) country under extremely special circumstances...

joining the military is not mandatory in the us. everyone who joins deserves whatever bad luck they encounter.

sounds harsh. but the us military has been a war crime machine since at least the cold war.

it's an arch linux machine. with proton and some tweaks to steamos you can run any game without a kernel level anticheat.

identification of cancer, development of vaccines, analysis of weather patterns and the ability to insta-translate speech and basically create real life subtitles are just small examples of vast usecases where AI was genuinely successful and a good use of the technology and there's so much more.

We got to a point where a 50W specialized all-in-one-computing package can handle the workload of a local llm and outpace my gaming-rig which runs deepseek 8b. 50W is as much as a lightbulb in the 90's. So the environmental impact goes away with time as technology progresses.

the issue lies with the corpos, not the technology.

Sure, collectively we could stop it. But those who oppose it are not numerous enough.

since his bet on the housing market he effectively lost money. all the public things he made can also be safety investments in case his secret hedgefund stuff he doesn't have to disclose fails.

  • this is what an ex-financebro told me yesterday
