"We are equal partners sharing responsibility for maintaining our shared living space" is vastly different from "I don't do dishes because that's a woman's job"

In that case though, it's gender neutral

Veep is one of my favorite shows, and the number of times that entire plotlines became actual headlines during Trump's first reign was ridiculous

United States Ambassador Nominee to Malaysia since July 2025

Even if it was satire, he's in too deep now

My first thought was about potentially protecting encryption, with all the privacy-invading laws that are popping up here in the US and abroad, but after skimming through the bill it seems like they could still use the "but criminals use encryption" line

Abbreviation for "Grand Old Party," it started as a nickname for the Republican Party in the late 1800s

I knew the term, but not the origins, so thanks for giving me an excuse to look it up

We also have legs, so I want to see their take on trains and how powering them with human-sized hamster wheels is better for "safety" and "efficiency"

Cargo planes in their world should be really interesting

It's honestly one of the funniest threads I've read in a while.

Did you get to this part?

Rowing (or even getting out to swim and pull) is safer if you have enough people, because we can't safely make and power engines.

Like they're gonna have a fleet of oceangoing cargo ships, each towed by a massive team of willing humans, all while escaping the dastardly pirates and their motorboats.

It's like Mad Max and Waterworld had a beautiful, insane baby

Not with a bang, but a womp womp

@I_Has_A_Hat@lemmy.world your comments don't show up on the blahaj end, sorry I didn't see them until now.

No one “should” reproduce. Until every child can be guaranteed a home, food, safety, and a genuine chance to succeed in the future

I can understand that argument a lot more than the ones that come across as very defeatist and nihilistic, thank you.

Lol wait did you actually take the time to read through all my comments? Seems like that ego you're so proud of abandoning got a little bruised, buddy.

I know reading comprehension can be hard, so I'll spell it out more explicitly for you. Like you, I'm trying my best to be vegan. And like you, I neither have nor want children. The difference between us is that I don't think everyone who hasn't given up hope on humanity is a terrible person.

I do neither of those things. Scroll through my comment history and find something else to judge me for, bud.
