I don't what actually prompted the attack, but if 'ex-CIA asset suddenly goes hundreds of miles to shoot at random soldiers while the government is trying to argue for keeping the random soldiers' happened under the previous admin, pundits on the right would be screaming 'FALSE FLAG' so loud their tonsils would fly from their throats.
