This reminds me of a time I took a highly religious friend for a hike through the Australian landscape. As we were walking through I mentioned the specific area we were about to walk through was an indigenous shamanic area and we should be respectful. He immediately choked on a fly.

Told me after that he was scoffing in his mind at a "shamanic area" when the fly flew down his throat.
