I vote in every election, I knock on doors, I phone bank.

But in the end it doesn’t matter. When the DNC decided Bernie Sanders wouldn’t be their guy and rammed Clinton through, they got sued by Bernie supporters for cheating.

They said in court, for the world to hear, that yes, they cheated, yes they broke their own rules to make Hillary the pick, but rules aren’t laws and no one but the DNC can enforce the rules, so fuck all yall we can take your donations and choose who we want.

Everyone knows this now. No one believes in the system. Is very hard to get people to set aside this knowledge and get excited about a candidate that we would actually want, when we know who ever takes the most bribes gets the nomination.

Then nobody wants to vote, the ones who really don’t want republicans do it anyway, but nobody is happy about it.

I live in California (hence the Newsom hate) and it’s incredibly easy to vote here. Even before universal mail in was a thing, I never waited more than 5 minutes to vote. People in red states wait upwards of 8 hours much of the time. No one is standing in line for 8 hours to vote for someone they really don’t want anyway.
