Is there a version without the Leninist symbol that I could send to my relatives?

Expose your relatives to the immortal science of Marxism-Leninism! ☭

Starting with the marvels of the guillotine is always a great opener.

Well, not just the Americans, but here in Europe too, populist parties are flourishing. Look at Reform UK, look at Brothers of Italy, look at AFD...

And why do you think that is?

we wait for the next election of course.

Can’t wait to watch the “blue no matter who” and “I have a fixation on the genitals of trans folks” crowds duke it out again in a rigged election system.

Americans be like

from my (admittedly limited) knowledge of european politics, and my experience with canadian and quebec politics, i can tell you with confidence that this is very much not a problem exclusive to the USA; it’s endemic to the whole global north

Also a problem in australia. It's a big myth that without mining companies australia would basically be a developing country but in reality they pay no taxes and they don't contribute to the economy at all.

[–] Cowbee@lemmy.ml 10 points 1 day ago

To be fair, Australia is considered a part of the "global north."

Oh yeah no question, I can confirm that this is very much a sentiment in Canada right now as well.

This is why those rich fucks want an internet ID for everyone. They want to know who is looking up how to DIY guillotines.

Let's be honest, the average american isn't saying rich people. They are saying "them" or "the deep state" or some other dogwhistle relating to jews. Or they'll just find a term that abstracts the problem away from rich people.
