I'll bet he's talking about Bojack Horseman and how they had to double up on season 6 because it got cancelled too soon
Drew Carry show.
What theme song do you prefer?
I recently binged every season of “Silicon Valley,” and regret not watching it sooner.
"Threshold" is one show I really liked that nobody seems to have heard of. Sadly cancelled after one season before anything was resolved. Loved the twist about the motivations of the alien intruders, though.
Currently rewatching "People of Earth". Most amusing part for me is always the corporate office like vibe in the alien spaceship.
People of Earth was fantastic. Wyatt Cenac really had a great run in the 2010s.
I'll have to give Threshold a shot since it was recommended by a fellow Person.
And those are the best ones, considering fuckwit writers and producers can’t run them into the ground while you’re enjoying them. The Wire, Sopranos etc. will always remain excellent.
Lexx.
Small neck-snake shrieks
Oh, I remember Lexx. I also have it all downloaded 😁
Buffy the vampire slayer
Hope someone has chimed in with these jewels:
DREAM ON
DEAD LIKE ME
DEADWOOD
ROME
Dead like me. Main actor just stopped working as an actor. Shame, seemed like she could have been good in other roles.
"Peep Show" and now also "The Mitchell and Webb Look" because of the former. Both of them are damn good comedies
Ally McBeal!
Just got Sanford & Son through my library and binged all four seasons.
Trying to find the next one.
In a parallel universe, Firefly has seven seasons with the exact same writing quality as the first. But in the said same universe, Starsector wouldn't exist. There's always a price to pay.
🎶When we work togheter, it's much better🎶
Just finished X-files. Mixed feelings about the potential 'new episodes.'
Can I do three? Reaper, Dark Matter (2015) and The Lost Room.
Dark Matter deserved its final season! We were robbed!
Damn it, every time one of these threads pops up, I run out of NAS space.
Lemme do two shows:
Kings just had a premise too esoteric for this world. It was like a retelling of the story of king David set in modern times in a constructed world that's like ours though the Bible doesn't exist within that world. There's all sorts of remixed biblical strangeness in it.

Jericho was like if one of those "mystery box" shows actually had a thought out plot that moved forward. Nuclear explosions go off around the country, not-Blackwater PMC guys work for not-Dick Cheney, and the main characters just keep getting sucked in to a ramp up for a post apocalyptic civil war.

Jericho was fantastic. Thanks for reminding me of that.
Jericho actually got better in the second season which I found surprising. But I haven't seen kings, I'll check it out.
Red Dwarf and Brittas Empire
Also North of 60
I’ll take this opportunity to push Patriot. The marketing on Amazon made it look like a standard propaganda show “good spy does bad things for good reasons” but it’s actually a black comedy that is beautifully critical of US intelligence and foreign covert action.
Still haven’t watched game of thrones.
I just know people hate the ending.
Wonder just how many decades until Lost can be considered "niche"
I argue that every season past three is niche. ;)
The quintessential example of this category: the pointless, yet hilarious improv comedy podcast recapping all 431 episodes of the 1960s series Bonanza: Bonanas for Bonanza ← YouTube explanation on Conan O'Brien Feeds a Friend (sic).
I was hesitant to jump in despite loving Daly and Gourley, since I couldn't give two sh¡ts about the show. But the show is not at all the point. It's merely the premise that keeps the train on its tracks. So maybe it's just the most ironic example of this category.
