I've always assumed that posts that began with "as a black man" were posted by a non-black person. Trying too hard, and invading their own Internet privacy at the same time.

I'm white and was raised in the culture. I have never once heard a black person say "as a black person".

On one hand, I fully agree with you.
On the other, I find there to be a poetic irony to people just making shit up about him.
