Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

He had a stroke. COVID infected in at his age have double the chances of stroke later on.

He can talk to Charlie about how karma is a bitch.

[–] Bebopalouie@lemmy.ca 3 points 47 minutes ago

South Park should do an episode with the child rapists dick also drooping on one side.

[–] arin@lemmy.world 13 points 4 hours ago (2 children)

False hope sucks, don't tell us until something more substantial happens

[–] noahm@lemmy.world 6 points 2 hours ago

Yeah, people have been saying this kind of thing for almost 10 years now. It's wishful thinking.

[–] hector@lemmy.today 1 points 3 hours ago

Well if it makes you feel any better, things will get worse after his replacement is able to more effectively implement the party's agenda.

[–] fakeman_pretendname@feddit.uk 56 points 7 hours ago (2 children)

Sorry to upset people thinking of him dieing soon, but they're going to sit him in a gold throne, kept barely alive, in suspended animation, then keep him alive and in charge for 40,000 years.

They'll use AI every time they want him to "say something".

[–] Harbinger01173430@lemmy.world 1 points 22 minutes ago

Heck, we need Karl Franz, not the emperor of mankind.

[–] blx@lemmy.zip 21 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

That's it, I'm jumping in the nearest warp storm.

[–] Phunter@lemmy.zip 11 points 7 hours ago

I'm gonna join the first Genestealer cult that gets to me first.

[–] stoy@lemmy.zip 33 points 8 hours ago (7 children)

Well, I wish him the worst, and hope for the slowest, most agonizing recovery for him.

[–] ChonkyLincoln@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 hours ago

Who said anything about recovery?!

[–] slampisko@lemmy.world 60 points 8 hours ago (2 children)

What a vile sentiment. This is a human person that is a felon and a rapist and actively brings harm to marginalized people, and you wish him a recovery?!

[–] stoy@lemmy.zip 12 points 7 hours ago (3 children)

My post was clearly a reference to wishing people well and a speedy recovery, but now that I saw the other response to my post I do want Trump to survive for the rest of the year, giving Vance less potential time at the helm

[–] SabinStargem@lemmy.today 4 points 6 hours ago

If America has a civil war, I want Trump to be in command of the Neo Confederates. That would save many ReUnion lives, since the enemy would be utterly incompetent and would encourage backstabbing among his minions.

[–] Wilco@lemmy.zip 5 points 6 hours ago

True wisdom.

[–] Arancello@aussie.zone 6 points 6 hours ago

Trump in the year 2325 after his 75th term in office.

[–] SCmSTR@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 6 hours ago

Die soon?

Can’t wait to see trump wearing sunglasses and going everywhere with Hegseth and RFK Jr. propping him up as they walk around and pretend to have him whisper things in their ear that they relay to us.

They’ll probably just be boring and use AI, but I’m still hoping for a Weekend at Bernie’s.

[–] m4xie@lemmy.ca 6 points 7 hours ago

Weekend at Donny's

[–] OldQWERTYbastard@lemmy.world 10 points 8 hours ago (2 children)

Hmm. How poetic would it be if he had Bells Palsy. Go look up the name of the virus that causes that.

[–] hector@lemmy.today 2 points 2 hours ago

There are a lot of things that can cause bells palsey, viruses are one, not sure which but would guess hpv, herpes, but can be bacterial and in many cases they cannot find the cause.

What virus are you referring ro?

[–] Octavio@lemmy.world 2 points 5 hours ago

Why’d we have to look it up ourselves? You couldn’t just tell us? 😂🤣 OK, OK, yeah that would definitely be poetic justice. But the Wikipedia entry I read says it’s only suspected of being a cause, so 🤷‍♂️

[–] peoplebeproblems@midwest.social 39 points 11 hours ago (3 children)

So what happens to project 2025 when the mouth piece responsible for Trump's Gen Z support dies, Trump dies, and VP Couch Fucker becomes president?

I don't see a lot of people putting up with the Heritage Foundation's bullshit if the snake is rattleless and headless.

[–] bold_atlas@lemmy.world 8 points 6 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago) (1 children)

The question is whether the democrats will actually meaningfully act to undo any of project 2025. The way they act now it seems like it's coin flip on whether or not they'll continue it themselves.

I mean, they're going to want to win over those same voters once Trump is gone so they don't really have much reason to not have hard shift to the right.

[–] hector@lemmy.today 2 points 2 hours ago

Dems crave the approval of the right and have spite for the left, embarrassed at any support they get from the left.

Without new dems we will not find out newsom will lose or have it taken from him and after 2028 it will be fixed up tight(er.)

Considering how much he likes golf, does this mean he’s taken some strokes off his game?

[–] hector@lemmy.today 1 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

I do not know but he still managed a full throated response to the kirk incident.

I’m honestly more than a little suspicious that some staffer just made a deepfake

Loving that for him!

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 7 points 8 hours ago

His mental health is long gone. His body is trying to keep up.

[–] bold_atlas@lemmy.world 2 points 6 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago) (1 children)

What are the chances that two of our last presidents suffered from serious mental degradation and other health issues? There must be a connection. Dangerous mold in the oval office maybe?

[–] jumjummy@lemmy.world 12 points 4 hours ago

More like dangerous old

[–] NocturnalMorning@lemmy.world 18 points 10 hours ago

Man, I saw that photo and for a brief moment I felt bad for him, but then I remembered he's a piece of shit, and deserves every health problem he gets and then some.

[–] Wytch@lemmy.zip 154 points 15 hours ago (5 children)

We all want him gone, I'm just always gonna be sore we won't ever see him destitute and imprisoned. We shouldn't have had to rely on the inevitable to rid us of this human parasite.

[–] TheFrirish@jlai.lu 1 points 3 hours ago

Understandable but gotta be pragmatic and take the wins we get.

[–] traches@sh.itjust.works 2 points 5 hours ago

Honestly I don’t even care about justice anymore I just want the bleeding to stop so we can start healing
