You know that when they so freely talk qbout left vs. right, it's not really a thing, or it's not really important. What they never even dare to mention is 'class war' and that's what they are really afraid of.

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 9 points 45 minutes ago

Reminds me of this line from Colbert Report...It feels "truthy".

[–] quick_snail@feddit.nl 2 points 9 minutes ago

One study published by the libertarian Cato Institute found that since 2020, right-wingers have accounted for over half of terror-related deaths in the United States, with left-wingers at 22 percent. Another study from the Public Religion Research Institute found that those who were more opposed to Trump were more likely to oppose political violence as well.

[–] ozymandias@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 31 minutes ago

that a funny way for him to say “i’m in the epstein files too, that’s why trump hired me”.

[–] MedicPigBabySaver@lemmy.world 9 points 1 hour ago

Lies.

Release the Trump/Epstein files

Ok where are those statistics & I'm sure it'll not be peer-reviewed

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 7 points 33 minutes ago

The stats say the opposite

[–] MehBlah@lemmy.world 2 points 27 minutes ago

He makes manifest the saying 'lies damn lies and statistics'

[–] SailorFuzz@lemmy.world 1 points 15 minutes ago

It's crazy how so many of our nations leaders can just go up there and tell bold face blatant lies and there's absolutely no consequences.
Like, they don't even pretend to care about being honest. They've long since realized that there's no repercussions for lying (not any real ones at least). So now, they just spew them endlessly, we live in a post-truth world.
Facts don't matter anymore, integrity is liability.

liar liar pants on fire

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 2 points 43 minutes ago

We have to look at the statistical significance of the mean, median, mode and couch fucking in order to get closer to the truth.

[–] bitjunkie@lemmy.world 1 points 33 minutes ago

The word "fact" hasn't meant a damn thing for over a decade.

[–] merdaverse@lemmy.zip 51 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

It's a statistical fact that JD Vance is a lying piece of shit.

Deaths from far right terrorism outnumbers far left 6:1, from the government's own reports over the last 30 years. But that was before the Ministry of Propaganda decided to take it down right after the death of Mr. Acceptable Losses.

Poof, gone today: https://nij.ojp.gov/topics/articles/what-nij-research-tells-us-about-domestic-terrorism

[–] beejboytyson@lemmy.world 2 points 47 minutes ago

There's also sexual violence. Church is the highest perp.

[–] HexesofVexes@lemmy.world 35 points 6 hours ago (2 children)

"Statistical fact" - as someone forced to teach statistics, whenever a student writes this phrase they lose marks. Any statistical statement is an implication of evidence, not a statement of fact.

Statistics adds confidence intervals to data. You never get to 100% confidence = fact.

[–] Tryenjer@lemmy.world 4 points 5 hours ago
[–] Capricorn_Geriatric@lemmy.world 10 points 5 hours ago

It's a statistical fact that 99% of what Couchfucker the First says is a lie. The 1% is reserved exclusively for "Wrong clock right once every full turn" type stuff.

[–] demizerone@lemmy.world 13 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Everytime I hear this mofo speak, all he does is spew lies.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 6 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

What do you expect from a fake hillbilly?

[–] n3m37h@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 hour ago

Hillbillies are decent people, they dont fuck couches

[–] Plurrbear@lemmy.world 11 points 6 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago) (2 children)

Haha! As you realize that the one who killed your own supporter was a Christian loving GOP who loved Trump, but hated Kirk and all his hate so guess what, karma comes to get ya and it did right in the neck!

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 6 points 5 hours ago

I thought it was a groyper who thought there wasn't enough hate? Or is there new information?

[–] Tryenjer@lemmy.world 4 points 5 hours ago* (last edited 5 hours ago)

He knows, but MAGA needs an excuse to do what they will do next according to their plans (Project 25). They are seizing on Kirk's murder like vultures to justify to the general public the attacks, abuse, and imprisonment they will impose on political opponents.

[–] killeronthecorner@lemmy.world 11 points 7 hours ago

[–] BlameTheAntifa@lemmy.world 27 points 9 hours ago

They’re already on top of it.

[–] P1nkman@lemmy.world 15 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

It's a statistical fact that JD Vance is a couch fucker.

[–] Alexstarfire@lemmy.world 4 points 7 hours ago

This one has the benefit of being true.

[–] Don_alForno@feddit.org 8 points 7 hours ago

If you count inanimate objects as victims maybe.

[–] BlameTheAntifa@lemmy.world 48 points 11 hours ago* (last edited 9 hours ago)

About that.

https://web.archive.org/web/20250731061848/https://nij.ojp.gov/topics/articles/what-nij-research-tells-us-about-domestic-terrorism

No wonder you censored the government website, Vance. We can’t have facts getting in the way of your outright lies and propaganda.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 36 points 11 hours ago

It's a "statistical fact" that "JD" "Vance" can chortle my balls.

[–] carlossurf@lemmy.ca 10 points 9 hours ago

Yeah…… name two fucking liberal shooters Il fucking wait

[–] clover@slrpnk.net 18 points 10 hours ago

FAKE NEWS. SAD.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 5 hours ago

If you omit the cherrypicking step prior to running the stats, that may be true.

And of course stats are inferences, never facts.

[–] pentastarm@piefed.ca 49 points 12 hours ago

Its a statistical fact JD Vance eats ChapStick.

[–] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 60 points 13 hours ago (1 children)
[–] ZombiFrancis@sh.itjust.works 5 points 9 hours ago

Vance could never be as cool as Sen. Armstrong.

Fuck he isn't even cool enough for the Senate we actually have now.

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 23 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Just making shit up? Not even trying to tie anything to reality. Oh, JD loves Velour couch fabric. People are saying.

Fact check: The Center for Strategic and International Studies found that right-wing extremists were responsible for approximately 67 percent of extremist-related terrorist plots and attacks between 2015 and 2020.

[–] jonne@infosec.pub 78 points 15 hours ago (10 children)

I can't think of any recent cases besides the guy that shot Steve Scalise. Do they have a list of cases they're going off, because 67% seems low.

[–] Archangel1313@lemmy.ca 88 points 15 hours ago (5 children)

They do, but they're almost all "eco-terrorism" related, which includes property damage as "violent". So basically, every time an environmentalist sabotages logging or mining equipment, it goes on the same list as folks that murder politicians, commit mass shootings, or blow up government buildings.
