This is why I get a chuckle from guys like Ben Shapiro. He thinks he's "one of the good ones", but at its core, MAGA is profoundly antisemitic (by the original definition of the term). At some point, they'll turn on him.

[–] ShaggySnacks@lemmy.myserv.one 23 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Normally, I try to have sympathy for people who are having their face eaten by a leopard. As generally, most people are just victims of the right wing propaganda machine.

In Ben Shapiro's case, I will gladly eat popcorn and watch it.

[–] Whostosay@sh.itjust.works 12 points 2 weeks ago

I don't. That train has had more exits than all actual trains combined.

This is who they are. Believe them.

[–] Blackfeathr@lemmy.world 17 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

Too true. Shapiro, Crockett, Raichik, Fuentes and the rest of the pick me's are tokens, and tokens always get spent.

[–] ballgoat@lemmy.zip 5 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Nick Fuentes? How is he a token? He’s a white nazi, no?

[–] Blackfeathr@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago (2 children)

He's got a Hispanic sounding last name and according to SCOTUS, that's a perfectly valid reason to send people to camps. Nicky better mind his P's and Q's, all's I'm sayin.

[–] MajorasTerribleFate@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Not in any way /meaning/ to defend them, but I think the argument is that multiple of the 4 characteristics (speaking Spanish, looking Hispanic, certain jobs, I forget the 4th) taken together is supposedly justification, but not any given one of them alone.

He's actually the next space on my bingo card.

[–] miss_demeanour@lemmy.dbzer0.com 48 points 2 weeks ago

I knew as soon as those Jewish folks stole the election with space lasers that Charlie's martyrdom was forthcoming.

[–] ceenote@lemmy.world 32 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

That's not funny. Unless she's saying that because of the rumor Ben Shapiro is going to take over TPUSA. Then it would be very, very funny.

[–] Not_mikey@lemmy.dbzer0.com 12 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

She's referring to AIPAC. She seems to think Charlie was opening up to allowing other perspectives on the issue of Palestine besides unequivocally supporting Israel before he was shot. Now she's afraid they will take control of tp usa and shut down any debate on the issue.

[–] sp3ctr4l@lemmy.dbzer0.com 16 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

This isn't unique to her, to MTG.

Of course MTG just actually is an anti-semite, but we also have Candace Owens (I mean, also an anti-semite broadly, but still)... she's saying that basically, Kirk snubbed an offer of a bunch of money from Israeli funders, because he did not want to be that beholden to that kind of positioning, and the right is currently 'having a normal one' arguing about this.

Kirk knew that Israel isn't popular with younger Republicans, that Fuentes types and other right wingers had been attacking him from the right, for being way too supportive of Israel.

I am far from up to speed on any of this, but basically, its way more than just MTG being fucking crazy on her own, this is a thing the whole ....sphere of right wing personalities is ... yeah currently, as in literally right now, elsewhere on the internet/broadcast media... 'having a very normal one' over.

I guess you could call this something like a split between the neocons, and the ~~racists~~ true patriots, basically?

[–] beejboytyson@lemmy.world 30 points 2 weeks ago

Ooooo boy do I have some information about prageru for her.

[–] bitwolf@sh.itjust.works 27 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Wow they're going full circle back to regular Nazis

[–] titanicx@lemmy.zip 10 points 2 weeks ago

She did throw the salute to dear leader at the nomination rally.

[–] snausagesinablanket@lemmy.world 26 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

What about the Jewish Space Laser program?

[–] _core@sh.itjust.works 6 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I don’t even know why I even bother paying attention to politics anymore. With a single-digit number of exceptions, pretty much everyone involved in this shitshow is somewhere on a spectrum between utterly insane and completely, unequivocally useless.

[–] AllNewTypeFace@leminal.space 17 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Wait until she hears who wrote all those Christmas songs that don’t mention Jesus but are instead about snow and stuff.

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 15 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

Owens has gone on to wildly claim Kirk was feeling “blackmailed” by Israel ahead of his death despite Kirk being one of the most vocal pro-Israel voices on the right.

Considering the shooter was/is a far right Internet troll...

There's a pretty good chance he just latches onto these crazy ass conspiracies and says Israel made him do it, just "for the lulz"

What's really big about this that no one has been really talking about tho, is how someone else shot a bunch of school kids the same day, and no one gave a fuck.

Lots of people with nothing to lose want to be famous or at least infamous. And shooting children barely even makes the city papers anymore.

Kill a CEO or a fascist tho...

And you're headline news for months/years, every late night host, podcaster, and even the president knows your name and cares deeply about your motivations.

If someone wanted to manufacture a bunch of copycats, they couldn't have asked for a better reaction.

Ah no, that was yesterday. Today he’s a left leaning trans dating weird gamer.

Who knows what tomorrow brings. Palestine agent perhaps.

Show us on the doll where the space lasers touched you.

[–] SapphironZA@sh.itjust.works 10 points 2 weeks ago
[–] ObsidianZed@lemmy.world 10 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

That makes sense because according to some in my "family", the jews were catching on to Charlie Kirk and he staged his death to go into hiding since he refused to accept a $150 million bribe to talk up Israel...

WTF is wrong with this world.

[–] SkyezOpen@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

Ifunny thinks they took him out because he turned on them over the Gaza genocide.

[–] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 weeks ago

I saw his neck explode, pretty sure the only place he is hiding is a six foot deep hole. Oh oh no it's the Saddam Hussein meme.

[–] Archangel1313@lemmy.ca 8 points 2 weeks ago

Uugh. These people are exhausting.

[–] BrianTheeBiscuiteer@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Ahh, come, come. Get down and stay quiet.

If you look over here it's just astonishing. I had not seen one of these in ages.

Here, we have just a textbook example of antisemitism!

[–] PyroNeurosis@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 2 weeks ago

Ages? It's been a pretty consistent din: the Unite the Right of '17 was a big one, Greene's own "space laser" comment. It's not subtle, just a bit harder to make out with the clamor about Israel's atrocities.

[–] Not_mikey@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

The quote in question in reference to AIPAC:

Do not allow a foreign country, foreign agents, and another religion tell you about Charlie Kirk. And I hope a foreign country and foreign agents and another religion does not take over Christian Patriotic Turning Point USA.

You were so close MTG , if you just dropped the Christian nationalist shit I'd agree with you. I guess this is the best you're gonna get on the right, though, and most of the other right wingers are supporting Israel for other Christian anti-semetic reasons, so lesser of two evils, I guess

[–] LibertyLizard@slrpnk.net 9 points 2 weeks ago

I like the subtext here that non-Christians are basically not part of American society.

[–] crusa187@lemmy.ml 4 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

We’re never going to see eye to eye with people so far on the right, but if we can work together to stop foreign governments from buying our politicians, that is a good thing.

Praying that the unfalsifiable paranoias of these morons will soon cause them to completely distrust all their own propaganda outlets and thus collapse their own social control structures

[–] Bonesince1997@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

When does she get dinged by the administration for all her blatant anti-semitism?

[–] unconsequential@slrpnk.net 5 points 2 weeks ago

Is this what they mean when they say, “the meek shall inherit the earth”? Should we all just step back slowly and watch the show. I’ll bring the popcorn.

[–] Certamen@feddit.org 3 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

It’s not the Jewish people, it’s the zionist entity. US politicians love to conflate the two, which is distressing and sure tell a story.

[–] BakerBagel@midwest.social 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

That is by design. The christian fascists still absolutely hate jewish people. They just view them as a tool to create the end times. Stoking anti-Semitism and creating resentment against jewish people has been a tactic for Christian Europeans for over a thousand years.

[–] BeardedGingerWonder@feddit.uk 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I suspect there might actually be antisemitism rather than antizionism at the root of this one.

I'm reminded of Clayton Bigsby

[–] Hector@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

Replace the word Jews with zionists. Probably a real concern.

Israel has their hands up the asses of our politicians and Margaret is one of the few that's willing to call it out and fight it. I don't care how she got there, and I don't believe how her detractors say she got there. I care about stopping at fascists from executing a final solution for their others, and that same treatment being exported back home here.
