If it were a Biden or Harris administration we'd never hear the end of it, there would be 1000 Republican committee hearings over it and Sean Hannity would be screaming about it...

This defines conservatism. Ingroup loyalty is the only force in their moral universe.
It's all they think you're doing. It's all they think there is.
But also even if you're on my side, you will be consumed at my whim
Leftists be like: "I want to make the world a better place"
Fascists be like "I don't care what you do as long as I get to turn on the torment nexus"
People claiming to be leftists will impugn false beliefs on you any chance they get. You can be totally perfect and still be drummed out of the corp.

If you are speaking about US politics you are correct. There has not been a left since McCarthyism when the government purged all the leftist.

I understand how people who directly benefit from corruption like Kelly can act like this, but I don't understand how anyone else can watch this happen and not be repulsed.
Because the brain rot is real. They feel for the first time in history that they're "winning." They don't care that any of the Grand Ol Pédophile party trafficked and raped children or are rapidly dive-bombing towards a fascist regime. Their chosen one says they're Great and have the Best Party and no Demoncrat can change that.
Maybe to really understand it, I'd have to get my brain rotted, too.

In-groups to protect, out-groups to bind. Many people consider themselves part of the in-group that the GOP represents. They get like a chemical high when their group wins, and a existential pain when they're not winning. They even feel bad if someone else is winning in a way that doesn't affect them, because they think in zero-sum terms.
They're bad people. Ideals we hold up like fairness and justice don't matter to them. All they care about is their tribe winning.
To add into this, those who aren't benefitting in the now are told, and believe, they'll benefit in the then, some anomalous point in time in which they "win" the whole game.
They'll suffer with a smile because "my time will come". It's genuinely analogous with a lot of religious rhetoric, the belief that actions now will be rewarded in whatever form of afterlife.
And, much like how one will never truly be pious enough, when the time comes, they inevitably collapse on their own kind.
Maybe I should take it as a comfort that I can't relate to bad people?
But it's so hard not to feel dread and disbelief that there are so. Many! Bad people.
Sometimes it's really hard fighting for a better world for all when you realize the number of cruel people who inhabit it.
Do I want to make their world better too? Yes. Ugh, yes I do. They just don't make it easy to want to.
Anyone else remember the "something, something Biden Crime Family" investigations? Where they tried to argue how corrupt it was that Hunter Biden was making money while his Dad was in office?
It's a cult, they just regurgitate whatever slop their leader says, they don't have any critical thinking, if that's what you are expecting.
