I've been saying the same things about this meeting. To get to where they are, these Generals have had to navigate a complex labyrinth of regulations and rules, and if they violate ANY of them, even mildly, it will derail their entire careers. Those that make it to General have incredible, almost superhuman discipline. Also, by the time they become generals, they have had the equivalent education and training at a doctorate level in their field. They are NOT stupid.
And throughout their career, they have internalized ALL the propaganda about defending America from all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC, and nobody knows what a traitor looks like more than these people. They have also internalized American military history, and know that their names would be forever attached to the fall of America, as the Generals who stood by and allowed it, instead of defending it. After a lifetime of carefully stepping through the career land mines to reach the top, they can't be pleased that their efforts and sacrifices will be squandered to advance the fall of the Republic.
And now the MAGA High Command, in all their stupidity, are gathering all these Generals in one place, where they will be able to talk freely amongst themselves. Until now, they know that literally every single communication they have with each other is heavily monitored by numerous agencies. For the first time, they will be able to speak candidly with each other, and see where each other stands.
It could be that MAGA wants them to talk, knowing some will get ratted out, and they can eject some potential troublemakers. They think that makes them stronger, but they are far too stupid to realize that every competent, experienced, patriotic General that they eject, becomes a competent experience, MOTIVATED military leader for the Rebellion.
This meeting could be very bad for America, or very good. It may be the moment that the real rebellion is born.
I won't hold my breath. They aren't some sort of incorruptible super soldiers. They are human et they fall prey to corruption like any other human.
Chances are this will be bad for the US and, by proxy, the rest of the world.
What gave it away? Did 25 year long quest to invalidate elections they don't win? The denial they did lose an election? Or was it the false accusations projecting what they are doing onto the opposition? Or was it the literal coup attempt where they tried to take Congress hostage and force it to sign over the republic?
The author must be a sharp one!

Here's the one conspiracy theory that always sticks with me because it explains everything. Putin's number one goal for decades has been to destabilize the United States. That's why Russian troll farms have posted things supporting both sides of decisive issues for ages. He doesn't care about the issue, just that Americans fight over them. Trump has been mixed up with the Russian Mafia since his real estate days, and Putin has a lot of dirt on him. Since becoming president, Trump has appointed people most likely to disrupt or destroy the organizations they're in charge of. The person who wants to get rid of the department of education gets put in charge of it. The person who doesn't believe in science and who believes junk conspiracy theories, gets appointed health and human services. Many more examples. The goal is to make the government fall apart.
So in that context, Hegseth doing this works either way. If he gets the military brass to fall in line and go against the Constitution, Putin wins. If he tries and the military brass goes against the commander in chief, Putin still wins. The goal is destabilizing the country and taking down the government.
It's not just speculation, it is literally in writing, in Alexandr Dugin's book The Foundations of Geopolitics. It is the Russian Playbook, taught at the Russian Military Academy, and is kept in Putin's office.
Published in 1997, it outlines how Russia can take control of the world, by conquering each region without using the military. For America, it suggests:
Russia should use its special services within the borders of the United States and Canada to fuel instability and separatism against neoliberal globalist Western hegemony, such as, for instance, provoke "Afro-American racists" to create severe backlash against the rotten political state of affairs in the current present-day system of the United States and Canada. Russia should "introduce geopolitical disorder into internal American activity, encouraging all kinds of separatism and ethnic, social, and racial conflicts, actively supporting all dissident movements – extremist, racist, and sectarian groups, thus destabilizing internal political processes in the U.S. It would also make sense simultaneously to support isolationist tendencies in American politics".
"Instability and separatism." It sounds exactly like what's been going on in America over the last 30 years. My question is: Who are these "special services" that already existed in America? We know that about 10-15 years ago, we rounded up a circle of Russian spies, living as normal American citizens, in sleeper cells around the country. Is that who they meant? Or perhaps they include Donald Trump, who we know was given the code name Krasnov on his first visit to Moscow in 1987. Or is it all the blackmailable elected officials who have been taking Russian campaign money laundered through the NRA for decades?
BTW, here's what the book had to say about Great Britain:
The United Kingdom, merely described as an "extraterritorial floating base of the U.S.", should be cut off from the European Union.
And of course we had Brexit, which we now know was heavily influenced by Russian propaganda, and accomplished exactly what the Russians wanted.
And then Ukraine:
Ukraine (except Western Ukraine) should be annexed by Russia because "Ukraine as a state has no geopolitical meaning, no particular cultural import or universal significance, no geographic uniqueness, no ethnic exclusiveness, its certain territorial ambitions represents an enormous danger for all of Eurasia and, without resolving the Ukrainian problem, it is in general senseless to speak about continental politics". Ukraine should not be allowed to remain independent, unless it is cordon sanitaire, which would be inadmissible according to Western political standards. As mentioned, Western Ukraine (comprising the regions of Volynia, Galicia, and Transcarpathia), considering its Catholic-majority population, are permitted to form an independent federation of Western Ukraine but should not be under Atlanticist control.
I have actually heard Putin himself make statements that nearly quoted this phrase:

Almost word for word. Putin is clearly following this book. Further, the author, Dugin, is still extremely active in the highest reaches of the intelligence structure. His daughter was also an influential member of Russian intelligence, until she was killed by a car bomb that was thought to be intended for her father.
Despite the MAGAs trying to intimidate anyone from approaching the Russian connection to MAGA, we all know the truth. MAGA is nothing more than a Russian intelligence operation, using an intelligence asset that they groomed for decades. He is an authentic Manchurian Candidate, operating in full view, and with the full knowledge of the entire world.
We can all see it, it is time to end it.

It's easy when you have corrupt, treasonous politicians who are more than willing to turn traitor and accept whatever illegal money you want to give them, and you run a major nation that literally prints their own money. Every politician has their price, and Putin has no problem with paying that price. It's not like it's HIS money he's spending.

Good luck with that. It's not on Amazon, although they have a biography of the author, Dugin, referred to as "Putin's Brain." The Wikipedia entry is pretty extensive, with synopses of much of the content.

Those bankruptcies were deliberate money laundering operations. The idea always was to suck all the profit out, run it into the ground, and walk away, declaring bankruptcy and sticking all the creditors with the bills.
That's why he did it over and over. It's not because he didn't learn how to avoid bankruptcy from his previous bankruptcy, it's because he learned how to milk the next one even better.

Of course he is. He knows that the moment he leaves office, the trials start up again, and he will receive no mercy from the courts or the citizenry this time around. He will serve the rest of his life in prison - if he is lucky.

We're supposed to believe that with his life on the line, that's the one time in his entire life that he would choose to NOT cheat? Be real, this is Donald Trump we're talking about. And that's why he can't afford another election. In 2026, If the Dems take even a single congressional chamber, they will have investigative, subpoena, and prosecution powers, and they will investigate everything.
And If the Dems win in 2028, then it's all over for every MAGA. The next president will not let them off the hook like Biden did. The next one will go after all of them, HARD, and it will be the biggest political trial since Nuremburg.
That's why there won't be any more elections. We have never suspended an election in America, not even during the Civil War. When he announces that the 2026 election is postponed because of riots in the streets, or some other cockamamie excuse, America is officially over, and we no longer have to obey ANY laws. It becomes a Robin Hood Economy, and we take it all back from the Sociopathic Oligarchs by any means necessary.

Isn't he much more likely to be working up to a major strike on Venezuela? They seem to be wanting a bigger distraction and military industrial complex money maker.
They will probably attack Venezuela, but that's not a reason to call all the generals from around the world back to the US. There is almost NEVER any reason to pull them all back. In fact, you're leaving yourself extremely vulnerable if you do.
How many wars has the US fought in? Many of them have been bigger than an attack on Venezuela would be. Pulling all the generals into one room has NEVER been done. Not once, even for World War 2.
This is not about starting a single conflict. This probably isn't even about starting a world conflict. This is about something else entirely.

Why would this be for a "potential coup" and not - telling the generals they're going to be attacking several "Democrat cities" using real military grade violence, and may receive live fire from disgruntled citizens.
...that seems like a far more likely reason for the meetings. Far far more likely.
That's been my theory too, invasion and occupation of all blue states. Maybe rounding up and imprisoning/killing every registered democrat and anyone else that looks woke/undesirable. I hope I'm wrong and it's just some ego stroking exercise.

Coup against Trump? That makes no sense. Theyll get a coup if they try to force loyalty to Trump over the constitution.
Wait are we talking a Military Coup in response to the awful treatment of the armed forces by Trump/Hegseth/ etc?
That would explain the huge budget increase to immigration and border control.
But oddly enough, in 1934, the German military voluntarily took an oath to Hitler (fucking wild, I always thought he made them swear the oath, but that's not true according to Stalinism and Nazism: dictatorships in comparison.
Trump is trying to build up a larger, poorer trained, less equipped, dumber SS like paramilitary Incase the military does turn on him. But that might not be disadvantagous by the end of this year, and even more so since the battlefield would almost entirely in the contiguous US, meaning the Navy can only really provide support to the coasts.
If you include all reserves and national guard the Army is about 1m strong. Air force is ~500k, Navy is 400k, Marines are 200k strong, and Coast guard is ~60-70k. I'm not going to bother with Space Force.
The feds (DHS) currently have 204k employees (I'm guessing it's larger than last reported) and a lot more money than they used to. And a large part of those aren't a
Personally I don't understand the probability of the Military turning on Trump. Trump/Hegseth/Heritage Foundation would certainly get the war they wanted if that happened, but that will fuck up our country beyond recognition. There is a small chance that the US military would relinquish power, but it wouldn require the leaders to have heads like George Washington.
Though the collapse is probably what Putin was interested in. The billionaires have been preparing for it with their bunkers. I don't like this prospect of all the prospects so far. (But it would hopefully be better than the 258m lives HF is after).
