Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

Maybe putting together a team of the most incompetent narcissists the world has to offer wasn't the 5D chess move they thought it was.

Vought can't admit that maybe his ideals are shit and the realization of his conceptualizations will only lead to a pigsty mess.

Ever wonder why the evil corpo in the boys is named vought?

If we still have elections in 2028, Noam, Car, Miller, Musk & this jackass all need to go through some things.

Criminal things. Several hundred counts of violation of rights under the color of law, just for starters.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 3 points 20 hours ago

Yes. I'd love to see the cons crying about some real "lawfare" that is actually being done.

They will this time.

Neoliberals don't have the DNC, and can't win a fair primary.

They're the only Dems insistent on never holding any politician accountable for anything.

We'll get a strong progressive out of a fair primary, and that comes with a willingness to fight corruption regardless of party.

It sure is weird how the media has yet to acknowledge that the Progressive's wing took over the DNC.

I haven't been able to muster this kind of optimism in over a decade. The fact that you can is genuinely amazing to me

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I was disillusioned with Dems when Clinton wasn't held accountable 30 years ago...

This is literally the most optimistic I've ever been for the DNC as a political organization.

Except for a small slice in 07-08, this is the only time I've been optimistic in the DNC tho, to be fair. So it's a pretty low bar.

Don't watch any of Harris's interviews about her book if you want to maintain that optimism

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago

Who cares about her?

She might win a Senate seat somewhere with a corrupt state party, but there's no fucking way she can win a fair primary, she couldn't even win a sham one.

And now that the DNC is prioritizing red/purple states in (literally) the largest redistribution of wealth from a national party to state parties, those corrupt state parties no longer have the DNC behind them.

All that money stolen from red/purple states was to get dem voters to vote for shitty neoliberals in solid blue states. They don't have that money to throw around in the next Dem primaries.

Like, seriously...

I'm not just painting a smile on my face cuz it feels good. There's a shit ton of reasons to be optimistic right now about the Dem party. But you'll never hear it from mainstream media.

It's like how it's the worst time to sell gold when you see advertisements for it.

The best time to support the DNC is when billionaire owned media isn't saying a new liberal is our own hope.
