Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Brenda Walters-Sanford, mother of the Michigan Mormon massacre, was—apparently like her son—a Trump supporter.

What cracks me up about this is how conservatives are like “mental health issues are a problem” but during Charlie Kirk incident “it’s political violence”

Now sure it was probs political but sane people dont kill others so its still about mental health

Saved you a click

The wording appears to have circulated widely on Facebook as a viral chain, rather than being an original post by Walters-Sanford, who did not indicate whom she was referring to.

Full Text of image she shared:

People lack accountability, then say, "You could've talked to me." No, I couldn't. You don't listen. You deflect. You twist everything into an attack and then play the victim. Conversations with you aren't healing-they're exhausting, draining, and emotionally suffocating. Every time I try to speak, it feels like walking through a maze of blame where my words are used against me, my intentions questioned, and my emotions invalidated. I end up questioning myself, doubting my own perceptions, because nothing I say lands without being turned into some justification for your behavior.

I've spent too long bending, softening, and framing my words to fit the narrative you want, hoping for connection, for understanding, for a simple acknowledgment of reality. But it never comes. Instead, there's defensiveness, twisting, and manipulation, all while you act like the wronged party. And honestly, I can't-and | won't-invest my emotional energy in someone who consistently prioritizes winning over understanding, control over empathy, and excuses over responsibility.

So she is referring to Christians and the right in general, right?

Right..?

No one could seriously believe that the right is the party of empathy, right?

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 6 points 1 day ago

Is this supposed to be a message to her son, or to the estranged wife?

[–] m_f@discuss.online 32 points 1 day ago (4 children)

That definitely reads as AI generated. I don't really get the point of making posts like that if you're not even going to write them yourself.

[–] the_q@lemmy.zip 16 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Because AI is being pushed down our throats.

And illiterate fucks use it to sound like they're not completely incompetent.

[–] xyzzy@lemmy.today 6 points 1 day ago

Yeah, rule of three and em dashes. And I don't for one second believe a MAGA supporter can use a semicolon correctly.

[–] kautau@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

As per the article she didn’t write it, it’s just some shitty meme that’s being circulated and re-shared by MAGAts. It probably originated in an FSB meme farm to keep churning out destabilizing messaging and pumping the big social media networks with it. Gotta keep people blind and angry so they keep cheering even when they are ones finally pulled into a van off the street and never seen again.

MAGA is and always has been the violence in this country

Conservatives have and always have been the violence in this country

Ftfy

This microwaved brain message brought to you by the best minds at Zuckerberg's meta.

Some of us don't have to read the mysterious breadcrumbs of the relatives of the lunatics that commit these crimes because some of us see the real patterns: an idiot populace, an idiot government, and lots and lots of available weapons.

[–] yesman@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Some lunatic shoots up a Church and now I have to read his mom's copypasta? I'm sick to death of the "motives investigation" after every shooting. What does it matter? Is there a good reason to do a mass shooting?

[–] bstix@feddit.dk 2 points 1 day ago

Only on Mondays.

[–] BigMacHole@sopuli.xyz 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

This man Is OBVIOUSLY A Trans Leftist Antifa! OTHERWISE it would be Really Weird that our Government is Going After Trans Leftist Antifas while letting MAGAS Kill People WITHOUT Intervention!

[–] BlindFrog@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

It hurts knowing that this is just untagged sarcasm but there are people out there stupid enough to read this as rabid sincerity.

It may be related to the motive for the shooting somehow, but it's neither chilling nor political.

[–] RoidingOldMan@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

It's generic copy paste crap. It could apply to almost anyone in almost any disagreement. It reminds me of reading Google reviews for retail stores, where they rant forever about how rude someone was but never provide a single example of what was actually wrong.

[–] ultranaut@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

That is a good comparison. To me it comes across like the usual vague shit people post on social media to get sympathy or attention. She is pissed at someone and likely used some AI tool to whip up this diatribe. She could be referring to anyone at all, it could be even no one at all and this is just some nonsense she made up.

[–] blave@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

And people think it’s harmless to grind absolutely ridiculous fantasy into their kids brains.

This is the end result of so much cognitive dissonance: it drives people insane

Whatever horrible person or people raised these kids, they are 100% to blame

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Yep... the MAGA crowd will latch onto the PTSD. Fucking hell
