Ah yes, the infamous go-rs
.
That JS one makes me unreasonably angry
yes, bad naming
They wanted to ride the coattails of Java's popularity. They knew what they were doing
as car is to carpet
Or ham to hamster.
What did Ubuntu do?
If these are stickers I want them all
Thanks, I hate it.
Offend them all!
The ones I understand are pretty offending to the originals.
Violence.
Leave Gorab alone
The gustacian!
they should have added asp.net but using the nano logo
They missed the opportunity to swap elephants on Postgres and PHP.
What is pip and react js supposed to be? And also the crab thing
pip -> npm
react js -> angular is
Crab thing -> Gopher and Rust crab
Pip is the Python package manager styled to look like npm the Node package manager
ReactJs is styled to look like AngularJS
The crab is the Go gopher styled to look like the Rust crab.
Oof.
I don’t know enough about node and Angular to be offended but the gopher crab may be more offensive than the vim one.
Both python and node engineers will be equally offended by the pip/npm one
Angular/react? React folk might just think it's a variation of the HTML shield, angular folk will just be happy someone has paid attention to them
I find Python and JS dependency management similar actually I love this comparison
I know that both sides can be like "at least it's not the other thing haha".
So yeah, similar
Is it just called rust crab?
named "Ferris"
Rustacean or Ferris
I think pip should be PyPI, which makes it even more insulting
Is that Bluey as a crab
It's the Go Gopher
