They've been doing it for decades. Practically all of them. It's basically the definition of Republican.

Not only Americans.

I don't care how rough the estimate is, LLMs are using insane amounts of power, and the message I'm getting here is that the newest incarnation uses even more.

BTW a lot of it seems to be just inefficient coding as Deepseek has shown.

There is such a thing as being too intelligent for a job, at least in the US of A.

Well. If they win it will be with legally corrupt candidates. Unless something fundamentally changes around lobbyism - which is pretty much impossible right now.

You cannot know that. What is the point of such absolute pessimism? People should still go vote, in addition to protesting.

Correct answer. Look how Democrats balk at shutting down the government only to push their demands.

Not that Democrats are the solution here.

Also, lack of individuality. It's easier to push forward, as a group, if everybody just goes "Yes, dear leader!"

edit: But that's only one side of the coin. The other is a legal system that's been hollowed out for so long it's a miracle it took so long for an administration to take advantage of everything it allows, all at once.

The anti-woke campaigner brought legal action against Meta – owner of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp – after the company’s artificial intelligence chatbot falsely stated he took part in the riot at the US Capitol on 6 January, 2021, seeking $5 million in damages.

As part of the settlement, as reported by The Wall Street Journal, Starbuck will advise Meta on how to prevent political bias in its AI.

What the actual...? I've never heard that someone gets hired as part of a settlement where both parties were opponents.

The editor sucks, in my not so humble opinion. Just type it out, that's the point of Markdown anyhow.

Markdown (which Lemmy supports) can do that, too:
