Thank goodness for regulation - thank goodness for Europe.
I understand people who frequent right-wing campaign events might feel otherwise - and I'm not surprised by that.
This is a most excellent place for technology news and articles.

Maybe if these corporations acted with a little integrity and respect for laws like (say) privacy and copyright, then maybe they wouldn’t need to be regulated…
Just sayin’
Corporations can't have integrity and respect, these are qualities of individual humans.
Big tech droid decries "over-regulation". More news at 11.
Why is it always "slams" ?
A lot of those tech bros and CEOs will vanish from the public overnight when the bubble bursts and the EU isn‘t half as badly affected as many other places who sunk everything into it.
Yeah, what a terrible idea to (quite loosely actually) regulate something that definitely needs to be regulated, and to do so before you wasted billions on it, since you can't wait to shove that shit down everyone's throats. Not your own money of course, oh no. You fill your fucking pockets with the money of delusional and/or clueless investors, because hardly anyone is paying for said shit.
And the bottom 90% of the population wants more regulation for the same reason: more money for them.
With friends who work in AI, I can tell you not all are motivated by money alone, some of them actually do want the scary potential (aka Flock, etc) regulated and are working from Europe.
If they are in favor of the AI Act, they don't know the AI Act. But never mind... I'm curious what your friends are working on (and if it has a future in the EU). That's Flock.io, promising decentralization?
