She probably could keep herself clean if she were in a big open area that had clean ground and was around other guinea pigs to share the grooming burden. She'd probably chew the furr and it wouldnt get so long.
But I cannot imagine how much maintenance a guinea pig like that requires. It must be daily bushing and 3 times daily cage cleaning. They shit every 10mins.
Mines got long hair that ignore the laws of gravity. It would matt so much more if it were dragging on the ground or covered her butt. Still I trim her butt furr.
