...In Geekbench 6.5 single-core, the X2 Elite Extreme posts a score of 4,080, edging out Apple’s M4 (3,872) and leaving AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 (2,881) and Intel’s Core Ultra 9 288V (2,919) far behind...

...The multi-core story is even more dramatic. With a Geekbench 6.5 multi-core score of 23,491, the X2 Elite Extreme nearly doubles the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H (11,386) and comfortably outpaces Apple’s M4 (15,146) and AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 370 (15,443)...

...This isn’t just a speed play — Qualcomm is betting that its ARM-based design can deliver desktop-class performance at mobile-class power draw, enabling thin, fanless designs or ultra-light laptops with battery life measured in days, not hours.

One of the more intriguing aspects of the Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme is its memory‑in‑package design, a departure from the off‑package RAM used in other X2 Elite variants. Qualcomm is using a System‑in‑Package (SiP) approach here, integrating the RAM directly alongside the CPU, GPU, and NPU on the same substrate.

This proximity slashes latency and boosts bandwidth — up to 228 GB/s compared to 152 GB/s on the off‑package models — while also enabling a unified memory architecture similar in concept to Apple’s M‑series chips, where CPU and GPU share the same pool for faster, more efficient data access...

... the company notes the "first half" of 2026 for the new Snapdragon X2 Elite and Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme...

"You cannot negotiate with authoritarians. You cannot negotiate with fascists. They don't stop ̶u̶n̶t̶i̶l̶ ̶e̶v̶e̶r̶y̶o̶n̶e̶ ̶c̶o̶m̶p̶l̶i̶e̶s̶."

FTFY.

Fascism requires an "other" to exist. When all the current "others" have been killed, they must invent a new one or perish.

The goalposts are ever shifting, and the in-group forever shrinking.

Its autocannibalism.

“All, Yesterday afternoon MESA received official notification from MSFC Center Director Pelfrey that MSFC will comply with Executive Order 14343 – Further Exclusions From the Federal Labor-Management Relations Program (link below). This may be the last email I am able to send to you in this fashion as one of your union representatives as MSFC is choosing to comply with the President’s determination that your jobs are primarily “intelligence, counterintelligence, investigatory, or national security” in nature. Therefore, MSFC will be canceling our labor contract, which was ratified by MESA membership and approved by NASA last year...

Some of you may – rightfully – be asking what [Marshall Engineers and Scientists Association] is doing about all this. We will still be here. We will continue to provide advice, assistance, and support – it will just have to be during your lunch break, after hours, or on weekends. We are training new stewards and building multiple committees to focus on various aspects of our representational duties – keeping you informed, helping organize local support networks, conducting surveys, advocating on your behalf to management and elected representatives, and coordinating with our partners in the North Alabama Area Labor Council (NAALC), the NASA Council of IFPTE Locals (NCIL), and the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers (IFPTE).

This move is being framed as a response to an annual stress test, however it also has the effect of reducing inflation without increasing interest rates, raising Federal taxes, or reducing government spending.

Bankers hate it because it reduces their profits, and in different political climates that has been enough to convince donation-dependent politicians to instead raise taxes or cut funding to necessary government programs that benefit the non-donor economic class.

The U.S. Federal Reserve announced Friday it had finalized new capital levels of the nation's largest banks following the June stress tests, although it added that Morgan Stanley is seeking reconsideration of its upcoming capital level.
