Protests are not about a single day changing anything. Ideally that'd be great, but protests require constant work. Georgia (the county) has its citizens protesting in the streets for over 200 days day. Protests bring like minded people together. Those people connect. Make plans. Make arrangements for further protests and so on. It's not about "winning" a single day. It's about constant, persistent pressure in the form of protests that may eventually let the people when, if/when a gov't backs down. I don't discourage protesting, but I don't trust this regime to not cart people away in unmarked vans. Again.
