Nice. I might have to get that. Thanks!

My gaming PC has a power button on the top of the case. It makes a lot of sense to put it there...

...except when you have cats. And I have 3. I have had it "helpfully" shut off at least twice mid-game. Now I have something that I keep over the button in case the cat is wandering around again.

I remember seeing an SUV that had this in vinyl on their back window (paraphrased, I don't remember the exact wording): "RIP so-and-so - God cured his suffering and took him to Heaven."

So, God either gets credit for killing the guy, or he gets credit for saving the guy. No matter what, God comes out as the good guy!

I have no idea how people live in this mindset.

I did read that her constituents support her over Trump, so it'll be interesting to see how it plays out.

I do hope she was serious when she acknowledged her own role in promoting political violence and does change her ways. But I'm skeptical that it'll stick. We'll see.

Yeah, I remember commuting to work in the DC area the days after the attack - and it was so subdued (they did not close our office on the 12th). There was no, or very little aggressive driving - people just going through the motions in shock. That lasted a few days, then we were back to the usual Mad Max.

The night of the 11th I went to pick up a friend that had gone to a coworker's place after the attacks. There was NO ONE out, other than an ambulance or two. It was completely dead out there, so much that I wondered if I was violating some kind of curfew. Just completely empty streets from Alexandria to Ballston. Surreal.

I've inadvertently ridden my bicycle through a couple school zones during drop-off times - and I'm sure pick-up times would be even worse.

Cycling around cars has an element of risk that we all know and accept. But that risk goes WAY UP in school zones at drop-off time. You'd think drivers would be looking for kids, people, etc. as they drop their precious off IN A SCHOOL ZONE. But, no.

For example: One started to pull out in front of me - I was in the lane, riding past, and she was pulling out of the school's driveway. I avoided her with some vigorous braking, then she had the gall to pull up at a light and tell me I should be careful.

When I worked for the federal government, it meant outreach to minority communities, trying to get more to apply. Once they applied, they were on the same playing field as everyone else.

On a related note: Every time I see a video on Facebook of a crash caused by a tractor trailer, I see racist comments, guessing who the driver was, as though no white guy has ever wrecked a truck. It's insane. It's so deep in their heads that rational thought is gone.

Show me the improvement, because all I see is fascists getting exactly what they want.

They were getting that anyway.

Don't forget the sequel, 1: Odyssey 1.
