Here comes the Hitler Oath
Oddly enough, I just learned today apparently Hitler didn't demand the German military to swear an oath, two Generals came up with the idea to have the military swear to Hitler in hopes of drawing him away from the Nazi Party. Which clearly didn't work as they planned.
After this article, with this other knowledge, I would be willing to bet that shits going to get REAL fucky.
If they ask these officers to commit high treason then that's it. The military is there to protect constitution. With no military to protect it, no court to uphold it, no congress to abide it then the United States is truly over. (Though I still maintain that was April 15, 2025).
There's a tiny, tiny, tiny possibility that we are too pessimistic and that maybe they do mean "they'd die for the country." They could simply recite the oath theyve already sworn, and be completely legally protected.
Trump, and Hegseth, aren't men of honor. They seen honor as a joke, a weakness. Nonsense. To me that appears to be expected from them, as honor requires empathy, which they lack.
The question then becomes do our senior officers have empathy?
I mean honor, empathy, tradition... all of that, on a personal level are technically a weakness in a head to head competition. Saturday morning cartoons lied, cheaters do win. But on a larger scale than one person, and longer time span than one day or even decade, they give a group a significant advantage. Trump et all only care about themselves and the very near future. That is why thier statements resonate with a fair number of people who care only about the same.
And that's kind of why I bring it up.
This isn't an individual level thing. It sounds like they intend to make it one.
I don't understand this... is there a typo here or is my brain just malfunctioning?
I'm an engineer not an English major, but I don't think there are typos.
But it is a really fucking weird thing to read and hurts my brain too. Apparently the story that Hitler demanded the oath was started amongst draftees, which makes sense as it's the guy you're swearing an oath to.
But according to their oat, they could take care of Trump, who is clearly a domestic enemy to the constitution.
Yeah. If honor, integrity, empathy mean anything to them. That's the part I'm worried about.
They're not corporate machines at least?
Why april 15?
I have that marked as when Due Process was eliminated
